I enjoyed it. Sad light and dark still get fewer characters than the other elements, so I have to base my team around them. It's also really nice to see adventure packs come back. Hopefully more than just the 2 (Thumpa Wumpa Island and Gryphon Peak Observatory). Though at $30 a piece maybe only having 2 will be a good thing.

I'm ****ing thrilled! Finally getting information on the Senseis! Neo Cortex, Kaos, Hood Sickle, Dr. Krancase! Everything! The Crash Bandicoot level! I literally hit my computer accidentally from too much hype, I had to restart it. No joke.

The only thing I'm upset about is the fact that there's no hats for the Skylanders in this game "because it would take away the focus from the Imaginators." Malarkey! I was looking forward to putting hats on the Skylanders. Also, Hood Sickle's new voice isn't that menacing. But he still looks awesome.

Its starting to grow on me

I'm fine with everything though I wish it was a full unveil of the roster so hopefully a good picture of that poster surfaces.
The only thing that really would piss me off if it's in fact true that we cannot reset our crystals. I was hoping on being able to change class of your skylanders at anytime but it's a HUGE problem if I can't even reset the crystal if i happen to not like that class.

Hood Sickle's voice is perfect... I believe it's the one from Superchargers.

At first I was super excited and looking forward to seeing more reveals but then I realized that's really all we're gonna get. At least we'll see more gameplay tomorrow but I was really hoping the PR had learned their lesson and would be announcing lots of stuff. Also, just realized, Gamescom usually has a huge reveal (don't get me wrong Kaos is a big deal and Cortex... I'll talk about him in a bit) but it's usually been a big reveal on some secondary game mode. Looks like we didn't get anything this year.

Everyone and their grandmother has done one of these so I'll go through each character announced/revealed.

Hood Sickle- I have to admit, I'm not as excited as I was when we first saw him. The figure looks great and his gameplay doesn't look too bad, but idk. Him and the other villain figures I'm starting to like less and less. I wasn't too sure if I was going to get him but because of my buying plan looks like I'm going to have to anyway. Oh well. Here's to hoping he's not a waste of money. *clink*

Dr. Krankcase- You're going to hear this a lot but honestly, I'm liking the villains less and less with the more I see. He plays and looks exactly like I'd expect him to but idk. Just something about his attacks seems boring to me. That's the word, boring. I feel like yes, TFB kept his theme in his figure form but I feel like they toned down the fun that it was to play Krankcase in Trap Team. Maybe that villain timer has done things to me guys.

Tae- At first he looked cool and while we haven't seen gameplay of him, I feel like it may be really uninspired. Probably Starcast with two arms as a fire character. If he throws his shurikens vertically like he seems to in his art I think it'd be cool. My buying plans are a bit iffy at the moment with the announcement that Light and Dark are only getting two characters and I think I may just have to shaft him from the list.

Kaos- Love Kaos. It's cool how he has the ranged classes on one button and the melee classes on the other. There's probably a golden combo that is guaranteed death so I'm excited to find that out. I like how he's similar to how he was in TT but not too samey so it'd be boring. Nice mix of old and new.

Barbella- Liked her before, now I like her even more. Definitely nicknaming her Jasper. Moving on.

Aurora- I wasn't sure how I'd feel about her at first, but I was honestly surprised she has legs. I didn't see that coming and for some reason was convinced she had a wispy ghost tail. Following after Eon I guess?

Starcast- I wasn't expecting to like him that much but wow he's great. Really well designed, love his voice, his movements, his attacks, everything. Might just be a day one buy for me.

Mysticat- Starcast is cool and all but I LOVE Mysticat now. If I'm getting anyone at launch it'll definitely be him. Can't wait to see more of him, hope he doesn't disappoint.

Air Strike- I literally love birds of prey and falconry is something I find super awesome so for me to find a Skylander who not only does that, is from my favorite element, AND comes in an adventure pack? Take my money Activision. I love Air Strike already. Can't wait for more

Dr. Neo Cortex- Don't get me wrong, I like Cortex as a character, I just don't really like how he was such a focus at Gamescom. He and the Crash level look cool and all but this is Skylanders. Crash isn't getting a remaster until next year so I don't get why they didn't just announce Cortex and show the Crash level at E3. Would've been perfect and allowed them to show some other story related level in Imaginators. (They do realize we'll eventually be sick of seeing Sky Fortress and Mushroom River right... Right?)

I think this game could be so much better if they gave it another year of development.

I'm sure so many aspects we've known in the past that were removed were due to time constraints. Another year of development could give us Battle Mode, online co-op, hats, more variety in the Imaginators (assuming some classes are exclusive to certain body types), etc. This should've had another year.

I feel like the powers of the Imaginators are quite limited. I think I will get less creation crystals than I originally planned.

I am going to try and write EVERY CHARACTER and what i think of them, so please forgive the massive amount of writing .


Dr Neo Cortex: To be honest, i'm not really a crash bandicoot fan, but he looks really cool. Sorcerer, seriously? he would have made a great Bazooka, and have Chompy Mage as our sorcerer. Unless Cortex isn't actually a villain sensei?

Kaos: Weird to fight Kaos as Kaos, but it would actually be really cool to play as him, as long as you can use doom sharks. DOOM SHARKS OF ULTIMATE DOOMINESS THAT IS DOOMED!

Golden Queen: She looks really good, and is one of the people who REALLY suits their battle class.

StarCast: So, um, Eh, he looks, um (don't hate) weird. I love the Four-Armed Crystal Slam-Bam look, but i just ain't feeling the love.

Tae Kwon Crow: AMAZING. His artwork looks so cool, and he looks perfect. I love the cracked beak, and the fire element actually Suits him. i hope he is as cool as he was in TT.

Hood-Sickle: I actually wish he was as detailed in-game as his figure was, but the gameplay looks Amazing.

FlareWolf: PyroHyena. He looks so cool, and i love the black robes and Golden Belt all Sensei's wear. Excluding Villains.

Blaster-tron: *Slits Throat*

Pain-Yatta: BEYOND AMAZING: i am so hyped, and wish he was leaked. It IS kind of annoying that Gamescom only leaked Chracters we already knew. Either way, you can definitely see him in the poster, with the pink ball over his head.

Grave-Clobber: Meh, but i may get him. ROKKIT FIZT!!

Chompy Mage: He looks really cool, and as a villain who controls the most common enemies in skylands, he would have really cool gameplay. (PRAYS)

Boom Bloom: Looks like a, um, Life Deja Vu.

Pit Boss: SNAKE NINJA MORTAL KOMBAT X SCORPION OF DOOM AND HOODS AND SNAKES.

KrankCase: Looks really cool, and i really hope an upgrade allows him to shoot and glue people there, which would be really funny. *GLUES CO-OP PLAYER TO WALL*

Barbella: Actually looks cool for a HATED person.

Tri-Tip: Q-tip is the only thing i think of.

King Pen: It is the ultimate, golden armoured Prinny.

Ambush: Why does he Look like Pluck from SC vault of the ancients? Really cool though, could be a ninja tho.

Mysticat: LOOKS AWSM NOW! Cat-Centaur of the YEar.

Air-Strike: Why is he so small? Like Chop-Skotch. the hawk is a really nice touch. Maybe he can control it and see through its eyes, like Falcon.

Chop-Skotch:Little hyped up skull on ball with massive ax. NOT SHORT-CUT RIPOFF OR ANYTHING, NO...

Ah, ok. I felt I was wrong on something. Thanks for clearing that up.

Man. I was expecting a bunch of stuff for Gamescom but this...this is incredible. We got to see Hood Sickle, Starcast, Krankcase, KAOS, and Cortex gameplay along with updated gameplay of the other ones, Thumpin' Wumpa Island, the packaging for Senseis, Air Strike's adventure pack, and the poster leak! And it's not even done! When it comes to Skylanders news, Gamescom is the gift that keeps on giving!

I mean it's mostly done. Tomorrow will probably just include some smaller bits of gameplay probably of Imaginators.

Also, just realized, does anyone have Gamescom gameplay of characters we've already seen? The Skylanders snapchat shows that at least Tri Tip and King Pen were there.

Crash Bandicoot and Dr Neo Crotex are available in the Thumpin' Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack. So you don't need to buy the Crash Starter Pack if you're just buying that for Crash and Cortex.
