Pick a emulator and play some classic games or something you like. What do you think?

You can play any game on Youtube because it's just pixels on a screen. Turn down the stream quality if it's lagging on you.

Just be weary of so called "Retro" games. I found my late laptop struggled to run any sort of 8-bit style game, but ran stuff like Need for Speed: Underground and other Playstation 2 era games fine.
On that note: You should look up https://www.gog.com/ which is a website dedicated to republishing really old games. Just be aware that a lot of so called "classics" are actually shiny turds. So always look up game-play footage and video reviews before buying, and never trust written fan reviews, especially if they start with "I used to play this back when..." |

Emulation is surprisingly hard as you are using software to emulate hardware

If its a productivity PC, meaning you just use it for school or business, the only game you'll be playing is anything that's not system demanding. For example, when I used one for 6 months before I got my Asus, I really only run games like Long Live the Queen and Unholy Heights. I could barely run Puzzle Agent. Because of this, I don't think you'd get far at all with emulation. Actually, I don't think you'll find anything like for free. You might have to spend some money. :v

Game Boy Advance and SNES emulation. No seriously. You can run those on a toaster, you don't have to mess around with BIOS files hidden on dodgy sites, and they're pretty much a glitch free emulation experience. |

Yeah, that's true. I really mean more system demanding emulations (GameCube PSX, PS2 etc)

nah gamecube/ps2 arent too demanding, as long as this isn't a computer with old hardware it's fine. op could you post your computers specs?.

Well for PSOne era and onwards, don't even bother with emulation, even if you have the specs for it. It doesn't really work, even if you have it set up correctly, and most games on those systems you can get on PC anyway.
