Well, a might is no guarantee, they get letters from kids all the time. What about something more elaborate, if you want the people of DS to get involved?

Its more that a letter! Its kinda gonna be like a gift box! A whole bunch of things! drawings, Letters, Clay Figures? I really dont know yet!

Darn, I wish I could send some stuff I have along :I Whole other side of the continent, but I still hold onto my Dragon Chompy custom figure in case I ever have 50 bucks to throw away in an international mail.

Well, I really have no idea in particular of what you could do, other than maybe some really nice words about how it changed your life, or the characters you really like and identify with, or something.

Well, tell them HauntedLorene from the Skylanders Wiki said hi, she loves their franchise's lore and really enjoys spending her time sharing it with the world.

They mentioned in interviews they do when it's drawings and made up characters, probably because there's no legal harm in looking; the issue comes when people start straight up asking for things because it sways their opinion unfairly. LOTS of developers that have come to explaining why they don't go to X forum say it's exactly because people spend too much time suggesting them things and they don't want to have unrealistic expectations of what the fans want(vocal minority and all that).

Well, that makes sense. It must be hard dealing with this sort of thing, I've never really thought about fan mail before.

I see this happen a lot because there's the Skullheart forums for both Skullgirls and Indivisible; and mods have to constantly direct people to suggestion threads since Mike Z and other developers post there frequently and have to leave if people start telling them how they'd love if X was in it. They also had a really bad experience of taking a fan request of a character, going through CRAZY legal hurdles to make the fan's creation usable, then said fan turns out to be a huge jerk and breaks NDA on their faces in that very forum, more or less throwing their lawyer money away.
