I don't know if this is going to be exclusive for pre-order...but it seems like it.
and I kind of have some mixed feelings on Kaos getting a figure .

that'd kinda suck if it was indeed TRU timed exclusive. it means i'm giving up my 20% off for amazon prime to preorder the crash edition at toysrus.

While I don't really believe it, this isn't the first time I've heard that. Some kid commented on one of my YouTube videos a while back about it. Not that it gives it any credibility, but it has been pushed around.

The guy made another post, which is a photo of a screen with an email which says the same thing. Still not buying it because of how easily you can fake that if you don't show the entire screen(just block out the addresses it's not hard).

As there are rumours that Kaos would be the 11th villain or pre-order bounus, tell me this: how can he be a skylander, if he
1. Is the bad guy in the story
2. Is a portal master himself? How can a portal master play as a portal master?

This also is a problem with Aurora: if she was the daughter of Eon, would she be a portal master too?

We don't know anything about Aurora.

We do know a Kaos figure won't make sense. Doesn't mean they can't do it anyway.

Aurora's status or relation to Eon is not confirmed. Also that rumor isn't confirmed or debunked yet.

My theory is that if Kaos does wind up being the 11th villain, it'll be a clone of himself he accidentally creates during the story with a different personality, and he gets annoyed with him and sends him to Earth or something.

That would be quite good. Kaos is making villains using the power of his mind (imagination) and imagines a far too evil Kaos that he has to banish himself.

I don't think we've seen anything but Holograms of Kaos so him not actually being the main baddie might make some sense.
Next in the end of the game it could end up explaining why Kaos has become a Skylander.
Would they rather turn him into a skylander for the next game or make lots of sales now with HEY LOOK SURPRISE KAOS FIGURE!

Honestly, I don't think it'd make any less sense than playing as Jet-Vac in the Battleship level as Jet-Vac interacting with you, or same with Eruptor in Island of Monkeys.

I totally agree. A Kaos figure would totally mess with continuity, but they've messed with continuity many times before. I personally wouldn't buy it, even if it's the coolest figure/character EVER.

I think that since he's a Portal Master it's impossible, remember Glumshanks said "I don't think Portal Masters are supposed to use them [portals] on themselves". But TFB, and even more Activision, have done some strange things in the past. I'm still not too crazy about trapping Kaos...

TFB didn't start it, VV threw the canon out of the window and let Kaos' mom use portals freely because oh she so powerful. At this point portals do whatever the plot requires.

And the moment Kaos might get a figure people freak out.

What if the Magic Element villain is Kaos and not Pain-Yatta

This. Lore was never strong in Skylands, so why does it matter now?

It's pretty strong, just in the "don't think about it too much" sense - it is a series that makes fun of the meta left and right. Pls don't diss the lore :C

You mean when she jumped into our own portal? I thought that was pretty cool actually. And since she never actually went from one place to another, she didn't really "use" the portal on herself like Kaos did in Giants. But that could be me just making up an excuse to have things make sense.

Just touching the portal for too long caused some electric reaction to Kaos(plus being shot out of clouds instead of portalling into the ground as usual), he wasn't even on the other side yet; in the books Eon also had to use magic to teleport himself around even with portals avaliable. It's a plothole all the same, but after the mess has been made TFB probably couldn't go back on that even if they wanted to.

3 words to make a Kaos figure work: Mirror of Mystery. Seriously, who says it has to be the same Kaos we keep fighting as the big bad?

Ok, hold up.
1. Ever since Superchargers using old figures has been non canon. The old characters, such as Hurricane Jet Vac and Lava Lance Eruptor, have been supercharged. They can't just go back and forth.
2. Think of the games as a timeline. Levels only happen once. Using Kaos to fight Kaos is breaking the canon. Think about your first playthrough being canon. When you fight a boss, they haven't been trapped yet. There's no canonical difference between using Dr Krankcase to fight Chompy Mage, or, say, using Deep Dive Gill Grunt in Spyro's Adventure.
3. I consider 2 player also non canon since characters say Skylander, not Skylanders.
4. You're damn right. The Senseis are fighting Kaos. Kaos can't fight Kaos. If Kaos is a Sensei, then it just doesn't work.

Also if anybody else wants to argue about variants and reposes, my theory is that there can be multiple toys, but only 1 Skylander exists. This explains why in the comics all the skylanders interact and co exist. When a game is over, the Skylanders and the portal master go back to their regular lives. When Kaos returns, the Skylanders are "sent" to the portal master. This also explains how new cores and Superchargers and Senseis become toys.

Explain why Jet-Vac and Eruptor aren't in their Supercharged forms now, please

Personally I think each figure is from a different version of Skylands...

yeah, I figured being Supercharged was akin to Legendary myself...just a temporary power-up when needed.

It would make sense if Kaos wasn't the main villain

The old figures can, in fact, go back and forth between regular and Supercharger forms. This isn't the fkrst time I correct you on this, JohnnySmasher. Rift Into Overdrive clearly shows it's a super form when in contact with a Rift Engine.

Went to TRU yesterday for my b-day and asked about a preorder Kaos figure and was told that there is indeed one coming. I'm still not 100% sure this is true, but this helps the rumor

Nope, there's still space for one more in the 32 character roster.

Crash doesn't count, official stuff and recent interviews say 20 senseis,11 villains and Crash.
Inb4 they take advantage of this to have element unbalance anyway.

This is crazy, I really don't want a Kaos figure. I mean, I do, but it's just too crazy!

I won't get Kaos even if he got the cooles figure in the series

I don't care how we get him as long as I can just play as Kaos. Mirror Of Mystery version, non-evil clone, whatever. As long as we can play with him, I'm happy!

Thank you for finding that, now that makes sense.

Also the Kaos-skylander could be created with the Mind Magic, so he is just an imaginator who looks like Kaos.

That lore got canceled out with Kaos' mom implying their entire family line are Dark Portal Masters, since you can just make a pact with The Darkness to get more or less the same powers.
