I'm sure not every kid wants a walking ninja head.

That implies kids aren't allowed quality, which is stupid and contradicts the point of Imaginators.

The issue is that they might've ran out of time to adapt these animations to different models, not that they have a hard on for making players angry and deliberately do bad decisions.

I had a perfect plan-out for my first Imaginator.

I swear if it's not an option... I might not make any ninjas at all.

I feel like items could probably refer to Swashbuckler tails. Unlike Ninja heads, the Swashbuckler tails actually do appear to be their own separate parts whereas Ninja head/body things are just whatever one chooses as the head

This is just the type of thing I don't think TFN was expecting. I don't think they thought people wpuld go onto the game with character desings already planned. I think they just expected people to create spontaneously.

Which is why I'm expecting this to be a time constraints issue if they don't clarify this in future cons. Yes, it's not as much work as say create an entirely new Skylander, but the torsoless creatures do need new animations to compensate the fact they can't arch their backs and stuff. Doesn't hold up so much on Swashbucklers though, because only a few attacks actually use stomping motions(Tombstone Timber is the only one I can think of).

I really don't think Ninjas would only have torso less bodies.

It's more likely design wise that ALL classes can have a human type body option coz it's simple and you can animate them all the same with the running, dancing and armour attachment options etc.

But ninja and swashbucklers could have these other body types exclusive to their classes only at the moment simply because they didnt get that far with the other classes yet and they're just trying to show off as many body types as they can.


If anything I think the quickshot class constellation in the selection screen changing from a food fight body to a regular one suggests that human bodies will be the norm and we'll probably see the other constellations change too in the next demo instalments .

Everyone's complaining about ninjas, but I bet most of you will still make ninjas when Imaginators comes out. Come on, we're Skylanders buyers. We make impulse decisions.

I would expect them to make Quickshots exclusively into walking heads first, in that case. Trigger Happy is the definitive quickshot of the series.

With this whole Imaginators thing, Skylanders Game are finally putting up new pictures... of imagined Skylanders lol Wonder if they'll accidentally leak a Sensei.

Well, we might be still suffering before we actually have full proof. You want to know something I really like? Full confirmation that Advanced Themes actually lets you edit the palette of each and every part, no limitations other than what's visible. I thought it was just to edit the 5 colors and nothing else, but Yroc's video shows him editing the head with its own theme and still going in to edit the custom palette on just that.

Element moveset and body limitations might be an issue to adapt old OCs, but there's definately a lot to do for new ones.

Agreed. The advanced color palettes make the creator so much better...

As for the ninja-body situation, I'll probably just make one ninja, and make an extra knight or something.

Color editing's depth is fantastic.
I absolutely wasn't expecting it to be some complex (more like, here are some palettes according to the Element, have fun), but the more we see it the more it impresses me.

Limitations such as those listed above are obviously annoying but I can understand them if it is a matter of development time, absolutely wouldn't if it were a choice.
I've already sorta accepted the fact we apparently can't save Imaginators and switch them in and out Crystals, just like villains, restricting design on purpose would completely go against the idea of "the only limit is your imagination".

K, so you know how we found Wild Storm and Mysticat, and how we had Wild Storm's arm guards, and it was unlocked from him, but we also had his sword which is unlocked from Imaginite Chests. So I'm looking for whatever I can and this sounds like a new Skylanders Name.



Yeah, its unlocked from the Chests probably because he unlocks headgear, or leg guards. It's still something to note because it sounds like a name, not something that would be named randomly. I mean, chances are it's probably not, but I mean, if people at Comic Con are able to scroll through the selections of locked parts, we'll find out then, but for now, I'm going to say this is the other Life Sensei, but it might not.

By that logic every set is a new character name. Driftwood is just a type of light wood used for boats iirc.

Well, driftwood has its meaning but so did Ambush's, after all.
Seems to be on the same level of Imaginators' names so far.

I don't think it would suit the leaked Bowslinger (if he's Life, and not Dark): the name makes me think of some kind of old, majestic Sorcerer ent (specifically a willow) with a cape made of leaves and vines and this long, twisted wooden staff.

I know it's probably unlikely since almost all the Skylanders are or look jouvenile and energic (they even scrapped Haldor in favor of Double Trouble because "no kid wants to play as an old guy"), but I can dream, right?

Actually I think it's a term for just any old wood that washes up on the beach.


Which means if it is a character name (it's not) it would either be life or fire (but 99% sure it's not an actual character name).

Well, so this topic isn't purely speculation while more Direct Feed videos from E3 show up for us to dissect, but still on the subject of them...What are you guys' favorite Imaginator sets from what we've seen so far? Not character-themed, everything else. Keep in mind that without the official names we should at least describe them a bit.

I'm really looking foward to using the Desert Prince/Mummy set. The patterns are really pretty, and from Yroc's video we now know its weapon gear, which is a really cool giant curved sword. The Scarecrow set ain't too shabby either, though I think everyone's going to end up using it and it'll get kinda tiring to see.

So... In order to keep this thread from dying...

I think it's kinda cool how you can select "None" as a voice option for Imaginators.
Would help if you're trying to make Imaginators based on mute characters, like say Link from The Legend of Zelda.

Also... Since it starts next Thursday, should we go over SDCC predictions?
I'm just going to predict they'll show off some new Senseis, two villains, and some more Imaginator options.
I'd predict more than that but I don't want to get my hopes up at the risk of being disappointed.

I like the none options for voices too.

I'm not really sure which parts are part of a set and which aren't, but I generally really like all the organic parts, like the insect, reptilian and monstrous ones.
Also the more magical and fantasy-ish, such as golems, fauns, werewolves and dragons.
They are probably the ones I'm going to use the most.

And speaking of golems, yroc's video confirmed that "honey Groot" chest is actually magma-themed.
Not sure what its name was, but something with the word "magma" or "lava" in it.
Love it as well.

As for gears, anything related to knight, mages and other medieval stereotypes.
I just don't have any concept for the more futuristic and silly parts, as of now.

He's a Sentinel, as shown in the game demo. His weapon looks to me like a long staff with a blade on each side.

Yeah pretty much, this confirms that, design changes aside, we're looking at a real leak.
They're revealing at some place that's used for events, looks pretty legit since Toy Insider isn't one of the instagram kids iirc.
