Had some fun and this was an idea I had tossing around in the back of my head. It's funny, with the Magic Skylanders we've yet to have one that actually does magic tricks and such.

So this is "Hat Trick", a Magic bunny Skylander. He's got attacks related to threes (you know, since..Hat Trick), doing magic tricks like poofing enemies away/dropping them, steamrolling over them with his giant hat, and his final attack, 52 Pickup, where he throws tons of cards all over the place.

I dunno if anyone else has been watching them on Twitter but there's one, Crowvalier that looks absolutely amazing.

yeah, crowvalier better be at least in the top 11.

Thanks! I think I nailed his pose better than any of my OCs, they all look so cramped but he isn't cluttered despite having several characters.

I know I posted my character a few pages back, but I wanted to see some opinions/critiques on her:

so, I have finished my entry. Unfortunately, I will have to wait until to tomorrow to post. However, in the mean time, what are your opinions on these catchphrases (Assuming that you know of my creation; A time wielding crocodile named either Alarm-Croc, or Crunch Time.

"Did I catch you at a bad time?"
"I'll give you a bad time!"

P.S. he has spiked clock flails

Spyrocrash, she's pretty simple and alright,though I'd tone down on the watermarks. The point they draw your attention it's when you should not have so many/so easy to see. You can see mine's at a spot it won't pop out, but it's still somewhere you can't simply edit it out.

Finished my Komodo dragon OC last minute. His name is Flamechuck, I'll post a picture of him after the contest to prevent Flamechuck from being stolen and have someone else enter him in the contest.
He is a smasher.

Thanks Bifrost! That big watermark was just for my deviantart, the drawing I sent doesn't have one across Miss Fortune like that. Just a precaution of mine.

I really wish I could've submitted but all of my entries are still in development. Ah well. I'll post them somewhere here after I'm done I suppose.

So... Do we have any idea of when they're announcing the winners of this contest? I'd assume it'd be before the game is released considering the top 10 win a free starter pack and all.

Must be in the pdf with the rules, but I can't check that on the phone.

Alright so, I finished. I also entered, so I don't really care too much what happens to it. I did not add any watermarks, if anyone suggests seriously considering that, than maybe I will.

At the last day and already sent, wouldn't really bother unless you'll repost it a lot.

Really nice design and color scheme, and are those pastels? I should've done that instead of coloring pencils, the colors pop out much more.

Actually I used colored pencils, just blended them together with mineral spirits

I drew my skylands Flamechuck, but I didn't make him 3d xD

For the contest, I don't think it matters what class it is, since they are not making your artwork into a character. If anyone reads the fine print it says no where that the first place winner would get their OC made into a playable character. I think they are going to implement the first place winner's art somewhere within the game. It would be cool if they turned it into a sky stone or something. Despite that, I guess mine would fit in the swashbuckler class or smasher class.

I think the rules said to wait two weeks after the contest for the winners.

To all those who put work and effort into their designs, do not get your hopes up.

Kids also will get their self esteem hit if they showcase the good ones for the ads. Seen it happen WAY too many times, you see one professional artist or someone doing a course enter a contest, "I won't even try there's no way I can win". Of course, usually they're just being self depreciative.

I personally considered scribbling Mind Raider myself for the contest, too.

That is really dumb if they don't take real art. SCRIBBLES IS NOT REAL ART I DON'T CARE. I also don't care if it's younger audiences that "should" win, because the people who put the effort and time into their incredible drawings are the people who truly deserve to win.

Don't go saying that something isn't real art, some conceptual artists might get mad at ya.

I kid, though I DO live with these people during the week so I had to learn to never talk about how a pile of crumpled paper isn't really art nor an allegory about waste. Art can be a lot of things,but there's good,great,bad,and ****ty art. Some kids I've seen drew REALLY good designs despite being extremely unexperienced at drawing(like it clearly didn't translate what they see in their heads,but the attempt went somewhere), putting some random scribbles as the winners will show the judges chose at random.

NOTES BEFOREHAND:
-An homage to Saiyans and the Super Saiyan form.
-He can generate energy into his fists and feet to have powerful punches and kicks.
-A translucent Super Saiyan hair shape forms on his head from his energy. This always stays on his head because he is always generating energy.
-Every punch and kick creates tiny explosions in the air from his arms and leg’s swung trail and when he makes contact onto the enemy.
-When he falls in battle, his energy hair and the energy around his fists and feet are not present from lack of energy. You can see his normal dark brown hair, hands and shoes.

NAME:
Aura Barrage

ELEMENT:
Life

CATCHPHRASES:
"Life coming at ya!"
"Life hits hard!"

APPEARANCE:
A tan humanoid that wears a dark blue gi. His eyes have reticles in place of his irises and pupils to signify focus and they constantly glow golden yellow. His dark brown hair is short and spikey compared to the length of his energy hair shape. The tied part of his black waist strap is behind him and when he attacks, the long part of the strap rises in the air from his flowing energy; this is to make the strap appear like a monkey tail. He wears some plain black shoes with ankle socks. His hands and feet are always glowing and shrouded in golden energy.

BACKSTORY:
Born with an anomaly where his life force shrouds his hands and feet, Aura Barrage was banished from his village during his pre-adolescence due to the villagers having enough of him damaging property and injuring others through his lack of energy control. Having lived in the nearby forest for a few years, Aura Barrage trained his curse so that no one else would get injured from contact with himself or view him as a nuisance. One day his old village was attacked and he hurried to protect his old home and the people there. Having become victorious against the threat, the villagers forgave Aura Barrage and welcomed him back with opened arms. Aura Barrage never had animosity towards the villagers and felt happy to be home, but declined to live in the village so that he could travel to further improve his abilities and stop any force that would threaten anyone else.

UPGRADES:
1. Aura Melee: Punches and kicks enemies with energized fists and feet. The last combo hit is a charged energy punch.
2. Teleportation Escape: Teleports a bit away in the direction inputted.
3. Afterimage Afterstun: An afterimage takes the spot of where you teleported. If an enemy comes in contact with the afterimage, it will stun them.
4. Energy Focus: The power of energy punches and kicks are increased.
5. Distance Between Us: Teleportation range and stun time are increased.
6. Life Blasts: Shoots a few energy blasts. (Press button multiple times while moving or still to shoot up to four energy shots. Hold button to stand still which will charge and shoot a single large energy "slice" from an air kick).

PATH 1, ENERGY SURGE:
1. Energy is a Blast: Punches into a blue beam from a two punch combo. (Hold button longer to charge the beam attack).
2. Even MORE Focus: All energy moves do even more damage.
3. Life Pulse: A constant aura shrouds the body and gives slight damage to enemies.

PATH 2, HYPER TELEPORTATION:
1. Multi Teleport: Teleports up to three times after the first teleportation and each teleportation afterwards lands in front of enemies. Able to attack after each teleportation. The afterimages continue to stun enemies.
2. Afterimage Assault: The afterimage count increases after each teleportation and attacks foes to fight alongside you.
3. Teleportation Explosion: After a few moments the afterimages explode with energy and greatly damage enemies and those nearby.

SOUL GEM: Surging Aura Dash: Body encased in energy, dash forward quickly and explode enemies in your way with each impact. Larger explosions ignite in your trail.

WOW POW: Surging Energy Burst: Kneels down and places palm on the ground. Energy shoots out of the ground and damages all surrounding enemies.


I used a drawing app on my 3DS to draw and color this. I don’t have photoshop like you guys. I submitted my entry on the 16th at 2am. My entry isn’t an entry to win, but to show the guys at Skylanders my drawing. I haven’t drawn anything in over two years, so this is my first drawing since then. But I have been wanting to draw my own Skylander ever since. To me, this was like a school assignment to finish, so this was great motivation to get back into drawing. The energy hair shape didn’t quite come out as lengthy as I wanted it to, but I’ll most likely improve it as I draw this character more. The aura around the hands and feet weren’t supposed to be so flame like, but I couldn’t get out how I wanted to draw it on the app. But the flame like aura did turn out well. I do like how I drew this character on paper before I drew it on my 3DS, but oh well. And I did correct the position of the drawing on the 3DS, so there’s that. Beginning with this, I want to start creating mini comics (like up to six panels) with my character. And oh yeah, I couldn’t think of anything else for the catchphrases. I hope I can create a brawler that’s something close to this in Imaginators.

"But we want to make the kids happy. We don't want to make them sad." I mean, there are hundreds of kids entering this. They can't make them ALL happy. Plus, again, all the people that put time and effort into their designs, regardless of age, will feel really ripped off if they see scribbles winning this. There's also an even darker theory, in that they pick illegible scribbles so that there really IS no winner: so that they can wing it, make their own designs and PRETEND someone won. ...That is just a possibility of course, not saying any of these are what's going to happen.
