Using the same name for GD as in trap team, Eliza from Skullgirls. Though I guess GD isn't the same crazed power hungry character as her anymore.

I renamed every Skylander in Adventure. I played on 360, and on 360, when you renamed a character, in Adventure, you could use the controller keyboard peripheral. That "feature" was removed in every other Skylanders game, so I stopped doing it. The keyboard never stopped existing, and as time went on, it would make sense that more and more people had them, but the ability for it to function was removed.

Also,from the looks of this video, the letter limit is bigger at least for Imaginators. Hopefully it changed for Skylanders as well, iirc they're a 12 letter limit?

Never used Nicknames actually. Well I did.. and the only time I did was when I renamed some characters that were similar to a character from the next game.... yeah.... I know...

Disgaea is an awesome series, dood...that's what Prinnies say at the end of every sentence ( dood ). If you want to go the Disgaea route for nicknames, some main characters become Prinnies, and some Prinnies just have unique names. I know which one I'd pick if I was into the nicknaming thing...I also came up with funny nicknames for older characters, but as I said I prefer keeping their actual names ( even in Pokemon...only ever used nicknames a couple times, and that was back in gen 2 )

I have issues and I read Gol-Den instead of Golden Queen in my mind. Done this soo many times I don't bother fixing it at the risk of editing old topics, which is why I just write her name entirely when not in a hurry.

ChillStealthElf, I just name my characters after jokes, mythology or other fictional characters, there's no single theme as it can be seen on my guestbook. The more familiar I'm with a series the more it'll show up since I know the traits.

Speaking about nicknames, I hope they won't treat Imaginators' names like them, in the final version of the game.

Removing quotation marks would be a small detail, I know, but I think it would help feel like we truly created every aspect of our own characters; I don't think they are expecting us to believe that their true names are Life Smasher or Fire Bowslinger.

I got used to it after Giants. Then again, I don't name them, it's just references. Aside from my Hexes, which I call to remember which one actually has which upgrade path levels(since I have to say "god dammit Hecate died at the start of the level again" a lot), I still refer to everyone by their names while playing.

I fully understand them for nicknames, but they would feel odd for proper names.
They are our own characters so we should be free to decide their unique Skylander names; I'm feeling like this will be changed when the game releases.
