Trap Team's wormhole resembles that of 2005-2009's Doctor Who vortex.

SuperChargers' wormhole resembles that of 2010-2012's Doctor Who vortex.

So if we continue with this trend, we may see a vortex similar to 2013's Doctor who vortex.

I don't think this is a coincidence either. I recall seeing a Dalek statue (villain in Doctor Who) in the background in the toys for bob studio in an interview.

Also, giving another look at the game's Academy icon, I wonder if we're getting some stuff from the old OLD Academy back?



Something about the Tech and Water islands just seems familiar on that Fire pad with the island nearby. We never knew their purpose since this is very early concept art, but maybe the plans are for islands near the academy that change like the Vehicle zones?

Well... The beginning of the intro does look really similar to the Battle Class selection screen.

Would like if the actual Magic Moment looked like the end of the intro.

I feel like we will get a newly designed academy that will look like this but the parts interchange, example towers moving to different spots. I think it would make sense to go along with the imagination theme because you could go on one mission and come back and there is a whole new arrangement.

It might be annoying for some people, but I personally would love for this to happen.

Crash isnt going to take the place of the second life sensei. That was one of my questions I asked and they said he is entirely off the roster, meaning there will be a second life sensei.

Interesting. Because @sclmatt had a recording of him asking Jeff Poffenbarger the same question and JP said that Crash was part of the 20 and part of the 31. Differing storied coming out of different Acti reps. Will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Cortex isn't going to be playable. He will most likely be the boss of the Crash level, no more.

If you follow the time line for @jasoninquires and @sclmatt, who were running together at e3, Jason first tweets Tuesday, I believe, that Crash is NOT part of the 31, the answer they got that day. This hasn't happened in the past and I wouldn't expect it to happen this year.

So there very well could be another Life Sensei and, just like last year, the Guest Star(s) could take the spot of the second Light/Dark Sensei.

I turned on TT yesterday, I had completely forgotten how great the academy was then with all the expanding areas and stuff, also the lighting etc was much better and fun. Why does VV design a dark sunset orange haze over the hubs? toys4 bob hubs are always clean and bright visually.

It depends if they're still treating them as rare and special or if they want to start treating them like regular elements .

Personally I do want more light and dark skylanders, but there's something special about having those 2 limited to a small amount of characters . It seems like it should be rare for beings to be imposed with light and dark magic compared to the other 8.

Probably doesn't mean much, but at 18:55 in the Katie Wison video, where Ambush gets killed, ths two options were "Restart Level" and "M.A.P."
M.A.P. is probably is just the level select screen but still...

Well considering they've added Light and Dark to the logo and there's only one guest this year I'd say it's a safe bet they're being treated equally.

I think it's pretty easy, to be fair.

Crash is universal, yes, but he's still a guest-star, which mean he's something extra just like Bowser and Donkey Kong last year.
Exactly like them he's quite unique and doesn't follow the gimmick directly (he has a Sky Chi move but lack the golden belt and the armor).

That being said, I think we have 50% of chance to have 2 Skylanders for both Light and Dark.
I tend to believe they will still be reduced (you can't really split in half a 3 character's roster, unless a Swapper is in, so I guess they'll go with a Skylander and a reformed villain each) but I surely hope they will not.
At this point Light and Dark will continue to remain minor Elements with special rules, unless they create a game focused entirely on them where they add their Giants, Swappers and missing Trap Masters but the updated logo might hint at them being treated equally.

Love the idea of a constantly changing Academy.
It could have Elemental-themed areas which change similarly to the Vehicle Gates.

If you had to split the whole roster, yes, but I was talking specifically about Light and Dark.
You can't have 1,5 Skylanders without a Swapper.

I'm thinking Chill Bill might still be the Water villain, mostly so they have a way to release villain cards later down Battlecast's lifespan.

They look too much techy, which was perfect for SuperChargers but would feel out of place for a game that screams "MAGIC!" such as Imaginators.

Speaking of the Creation Crystals, I think the music that plays when you select a Battle Class changes according to the one you've choosen.
I saw people sad because the music wasn't the same as the reveal gameplay(Smasher), but that's just because those who went to E3 preferred to try the other Classes out.

Yeah, each Battle Class has their own theme music. Smasher's is my favorite so far :3

Why don't we all just wait and see if there will be another Life Sensei or not? Patience is very important in fandoms.

I feel like we might get a bit more news before or the day it hits July, it would feel to long without getting news if we had to wait any longer.

I personally believe Crash will be included in the 20 Senseis. Bowser and DK couldn't be a part of the Fire and Life roster last year because they only worked on Nintendo consoles. But this year, I think making Crash one of the two Life Senseis works.

It's still unconfirmed either way though, so we'll have to wait to see for sure.

The maps for SDCC got released yesterday. There's no booth YET.. It's not final yet and there's 4 empty gaming booths there, so it's likely!

Just something I want to say about the Dark Crash topic that was closed... There could very well be a Dark Crash. There was Dark DK and Dark Bowser, so why not let there be a Dark Crash?

Because Crash already comes in a $100 Starter Pack and there is no need for more Starter Pack confusion.

Yeah, after what happened with last year's starter pack mess, keeping it simple is a great decision.

I still don't see the need for Dark Edition starter packs. Most can only get one, and buying two of the same game for different systems is pretty stupid. They should just release the dark variants in single packs, but that will never happen. I have a Wii U and I'm keeping every future Skylanders game on that Wii U. My initial plan was to keep all Skylander games on my 360, but that console died.

This is Activision's thought process:

To clear up the 20 vs 21 debate for Crash Bandicoot. The producer I was talking to did get confused by my question (don't know why, but he did haha). So he did clarify to Matt the next day (Matt was with me when I asked the question on Tuesday of E3 week, and then he went back on Wednesday for some other questions).

The producer did talk it over with the PR person and they recounted all the figures and confirmed that Crash IS in the 20 "skylanders" Sensei.

Obviously this can still be PR speakish, and eventually they may just be like "SURPRISE!". But I think it's safe to say Crash is INCLUDED in the 20.

Ok, honestly, I have no idea what to believe anymore, but that gives me more hope.

There are people saying Crash is apart of the 20, which I hope is the case, but there are people who are saying hes a 21st regular Sensei.

I have no idea anymore.

Well, the way I see it... The villain Senseis don't have black armor and golden belts either. They pretty much just retain their designs from Trap Team. And, I know that they were from previous games, but it could point out that not all Senseis need that distinction, only the Senseis that are actually new characters. For some reason...

Crash's catchphrase should be "Too cool for my belt!"

In all seriousness, I do find it strange how if he IS the second life Sensei, I find it weird how he doesn't have his belt.

Weapons aside, it seems like they are trying to keep each villain as close as possible to his/her original version and the same could be said for Crash.

I still think the fact he also unlock a specific level is something peculiar for a "regular" Skylander.
We've never had it before and it will be interesting to see how the concept will evolve, and how they will handle it in this game.
Doubt it will be used the exact same way, in the future, but it might finally be a sign they want figures (at least some of them) to do more than simply unlock playable characters; Senseis increasing Imaginators' level cap definitely points in that direction as well.

Just a question out of the ordinary, because it's been bothering me.

Have we seen any blurry pictures of the poster, maybe on the side of the Starter Pack box?
