It's not real. Look at the outline of the sword! Look at how it's missing the figure's white lines at the bottom of the legs (which was the most obvious indicator that the figure was fake)! Look at the green streaks in his "hair" absent from the figure! It's completely obvious!

Sixtommy, that's such a fake photoshop, it uses the same screenshot as regular Ambush. Variants always at least a different frame, that's the same picture with some half-decent color changes that don't match the lighting.

That one in most articles is in a different part of the level though it's the same pose. The one I posted from Forbes is the exact same background.

Besides, if anyone's going to get a Christmas variant, I'd vote for Pepper Jack, assuming he'll be a Sensei in this game.

Attention seekers do a well enough job that people take a quick look and are convinced before even considering inspecting it more closely. Fakes are very often slightly blurry and/or artifacted (because .jpg), but not so much that it's immediately obvious most of the time, unless you're looking for it.

Because mostly everyone in this fanbase is easily fooled. >.>

Battle Gongs are an extra battling area then? Nice, choosing between skimming through the level or a little more risk is good.

Also that doesn't look like a zone per se. It's like some sort of pad near a fire-themed place. Maybe like the elemental missions from SC?

I don't remember which one, but one of the videos had Crash arms.

Now I told myself I would only get one version of each character from now on, but if they were real I'd have to get all of those Ambush's. Great work.

That gong battle looked good and challenging . Yay battle arena type challenges

Is anyone else noticing the mix of superchargers and TT themes . E.g. The swirling cloud vortex from SC when the charscter enters the game. And the menu feeling very trap teamy with the 3 star collection objective for each level ( nice to see that back after SC doing vehicles done stars instead ).

Also with total game completion stars back , Hopefully that means portal master powers will be also . They were a nice little option to feel like you had some control over the game.

Portal Master powewrs was the best thing SC did. We need a way to switch paths without resetng.
Also, Golden Queen's rest screen reminds me a lot of the scene when you defeat her and she's in that force field.

Some new things in the IGN Crash Bandicoot video. He dropkicks if you use his tertiary in the air, and there's a Punk Shock head called Fish Fatale. I was hoping we'd learn more species names with the parts(like Scratch being a Feathercat because of her tail part), but not all are lucky because puns are more important.

I think GQ's rest screen looks very, ehm...

No, in a different video (I forget which), Eon explicitly said you needed a Sensei. Basically, they're equivalent to Feats of Strength, Traptanium Crystals or SuperCharger Gates - accessible by only one figure type, but available to all figures of that type, regardless of element or secondary classification (unlike Shrines, which are more like SWAP-Zones in that they require a specific secondary classification).

Shrines actually feel like Red Toolboxes - you only need them if you have the character since they only give you the Sky Chi anyway, though the Toolboxes eventually give you other terrains.

So at this point, after listening to @sclmatt in his latest youth d video, and his recording of his conversation with Poffenbarger, it sure sounds pretty official that Crash is included in the twenty new senseis.

The difference between Shrines and toolboxes is that there look to be a limited number of them, presumably 1 or 2 per level, and they actually unlock stuff that's kind of meaningful gameplay wise.

Let me get this straight, shrines can be unlocked by all three Senseis of the fitting Battle Class, so a Brawler Shrine could be "opened" by either Crash, King Pen or the Brawler Villain. (pls Dreamcatcher) And I guess you can't open them twice, so I guess there will be a total of three Shrines in the game?

Wasn't all we saw of the shrines just Tri-Tip opening one? I don't think they confirmed how they specifically worked.
