Crash Backstory:

A wormhole has opened in Skylands and the great Aku Aku appears! He has come to announce the once-in-two-decades Synchronization Celebration--a time when all of the worlds align perfectly. All the inhabitants of Wumpa Island are having a party and they want to invite the Skylanders. But with Kaos on a quest to take over Skylands using his army of Doomlanders, the Skylanders must focus on stopping his evil plans. Never one to shy away from danger, the legendary marsupial Crash Bandicoot leaps through the wormhole to join the Skylanders in the ultimate battle against Kaos!

The parts are the ones you use in the creation menu, you can't do "whatever", you are limited to the presets.

Wow this is the best day ever! My only prediction for E3 and it actually came true. I believed that Crash would be in Skylanders and that he would be marketed in this game to welcome him back into gaming, but I never imagined we get remasters of his first 3 games as well. This is my favorite E3 and my favorite presentation hands down and I can die happy that my one wish finally came true.

Any word of if it really is toysrus exclusive? I really hope not as they suck with pre-orders.

Oh man, that trailer. Not even a huge fan of Crash (only played the first game and Crash of the Titans, and have beaten neither) and I can feel the hype.

Very fitting that Spyro welcomes him to the party. They've been friendly rival franchises since the beginning, so it's only natural that Spyro shows up there.

And like the Skymiibos, he gets a beautiful adaptation in Skylands, complete with a moveset and sound effects all hailing from his original world. I'm happy for Crash fans who like Skylanders, since this must be incredible for you guys.

Ok toysrus exclusive it is, Skylanders.com updated and toysrus is the only retaler from the drop down list for the crash version. Now if only I know what it had in it? will it be a regular starter with crash replacing a figure or like the dark starter with him replacing wolf gang, or not like eather...

from the looks of the box it's just the regular with a crash single in it.

Not happy he's part of the 10 senseis though. Does that mean we won't get one per element? The fact that this isn't platform locked was a good idea. And from the looks of it, no 5 starters to buy. I'm betting he gets a single eventually.

After last year's amiibo kurfuffle, I'd say Crash will be in a non-starter release. If there's a Dark version, he'll probably be bundle-exclusive. Seems like a pretty safe bet.

I'm real curious to hear if he's PS-exclusive.

He's playable on all consoles.

Well Crash is back, and I for one cannot wait to play as my favorite marsupial again. Although I do hope they sell his figure separately at some point.

Glad he's not restricted too. Just hope I can buy him separately. I don't have a ps3 or ps4.

He's playable on every console, he's a timed PlayStation Exclusive, so I'm assuming that means he'll probably show up in a Single Pack (Or a Pack with him in it and something else like a Crystal)

Last I checked, we are getting TWO Skylander Senseis per element, PLUS 1 Villain Sensei per element, for a total of 30, not 20.

i just watched this, it had the crash music playing and it looked more like it was a crash game and not skylanders. im still a little sad but i guess because its on all platforms its not as bad as console exclusives, timed exclusives are annoying but at least they dont screw people out of game content. but just watching him fight they clearly did a good job of making him fit in. at least he is more like the other skylanders and not the dk and bowser wannabe skylanders.

o yea, for people wondering which platform to buy it on, ps4. its going to be developed on ps4 and ported out to the others, that means that ps4 will receive patches first (again) and will have less bugs.

Does anyone else think they did a really good job of bringing crash back?

Bringing him back in a Skylanders game but also remaking his first 3 games for the play station 4 I think keeps most people the happiest at the moment.

All the old players that hate Skylanders can't complain coz they're getting what they really want ( to play old crash games on new consoles ) .

Coz lets face it, they'd hate any new game crash was made in anyway coz the graphics would be new so he'd look different ( which is what all the spyro natzis are always complaining about ) and it wouldn't be exactly like the old games, coz no game designers just wants to make a complete clone of a 20 year old game.

People who really just love crash but don't want to play the old games, can have a taste of a new age cartoony adventure game. And all the others can just ignore it and play the old games they miss so much.

Win-win I say.

I think that Activision/TfB/V.V. couldn't have done it better.
He just looks so sweet and fits the Skylands perfectly and OH GREAT AKU AKU I WANT HIM NOW.

They saw the success of Skymiibos but improved the concept, making him a timed-exclusive but able to work on all consoles.
Yeah, Sony could have handled the remasters better, showing at least a short trailer; it isn't fair that only Skylanders fans had something concrete to look at.

Maybe the remasters aren't far enough in development yet. I wonder if Activision had always intended to cross-promote Crash this way of if it's something they came up with after already deciding to put him in Skylanders.

This! They probably only announced that they were doing remasters because of the backlash that would ensue from just showing Skylanders

This is hard to decide for me. I am a PS3 user and I'm not so sure about Crash... What should I do, is it a better deal?

If you get just his starter pack you don't even need to. Three characters means some good variety for movesets on the creations(forgot how many crystals it has), even if it's just on Brawlers and Sorcerers.

What comes in the Crash edition starter pack? That's probably all I'll buy.

I think it's placeholder, but 3 Senseis including Crash and the Fire Imaginite Crystal. The 100 price tag is suspicious though, we might get some more crystals or even a level piece. Even Dark Edition is just 75 and that gives you 6 characters plus an Imaginite Chest. Might be one of those Mega Packs older games had with more characters you'd ever need too.

Anyway, including a level piece in the Crash starter would be ridiculous to me unless he was released separately later on. Oh man, I really wanna get a PS4 instead of an Xbox One now.

Come to think of it... One of Crash's screenshots shows him in a level like the first level of the PS1 game, right?

Yup, it's full of crates and wumpa fruit and Aku Aku is hanging out at the back of a screenshot. It'd be pretty bold of them to have that as a normal level no DLC needed, though.

We completely forgot about the portal, which I am excited for. I don't really have an idea of what it could look like myself though. I hope it's not the swap force portal or giants portal with a few more details and upgrades.

Ugh, the.mods moved my own topic about the portal in this one when I only mentioned Crash ONCE in the title. That really is SO annoying.
