Information

As we all know Skylanders Imaginators is among us. To celebrate and give us something to do while we wait and even beyond, I thought about holding another challenge similar to my Skylanders Nuzlock/ Speed Run Hybrid on the Skylanders SuperChargers forums. I noticed a lot of problems with that challenge such as too many restrictions, too quick for some, and not enough players. I decided to make this one more open and less restrictive. I hope you enjoy this challenge. And hey, once Skylanders Imaginators can be used in this challenge. I hope you have fun and good luck!


Rules

You MUST post level completion on DarkSpyro

You can join or create a team.

You can only join/ create one team.

Only 4 people can join 1 team.

The amount of teams that can compete are unlimited.

Your team can gain points by completing goals.

5 points- Complete a Adventure Pack level
10 points- Complete a level
50 points- Complete a game

Your team can lose 5 points by losing a character.

You can play any game in any order.

Every Skylanders game can be played except for the Wii and 3DS versions of SuperChargers. The mobile apps except for Trap Team and SuperChargers are also prohibited because they are spinoffs.

3DS versions can be played and are counted as different games from their console counterparts.

You can only switch to a new Skylanders game once you have beaten it.

You can even play a game that you already played (Playing Skylanders Giants for a second time after you beat another game for example)

Once its released Skylanders Imaginators will become acceptable for this challenge.

You can start with any two Skylanders from the game you decided to start with.

Skylanders Conquest itself will never end.

Daily challenges will be held and switch everyday. (Although I might have to cycle through a few of them)

Once you complete a game, you can gain 1 new Skylander to your arsenals. However the maximum is 8 Skylanders per player.

Can post on YouTube but please give YouTube account name.

Light or Dark Skylanders are allowed

No Nintendo Skylanders

No Lightcores

No Eon Elites

STT villains are allowed if your team allows it.

If a Skylander gets knocked out you can't use them. If you lose both then restart the level and you will be given a fail.

Remodels are allowed

Variants are allowed

SSC remodels count as SSC characters since they play completely different from their normal counterparts.

All Skylanders must be restarted once you beat one of the games.

Difficulty can be whatever you want (Easy and Normal are highly recommended)

Be honest and don't lie. It's more fun if your honest.

More explanation would be very beneficial. Some users, like me, do not know what Skylanders Nuzlock/Speed Run Hybrid is. If you give a more understandabe, in-depth explanation, I would be proud to join.

Okay. For those who don't know how to do this, ill try to describe it the best I can.

Steps

0) PLEASE post all info to this topic and be 100% honest.

1) Join a team or start a team.

2) Pick a Skylander game to start with to play (3DS versions are allowed except Skylanders SuperChargers 3DS)

3) Pick 2 Skylanders you like from that game.

4) make sure the Skylanders are restarted (Lv 1 and zero upgrades)

5) Start a new save file

6) Play the game normally.

7) For every time all your Skylanders get knocked out, you receive a Fail and you restart the level and you lose 5 points.

8) Every time you complete a level, you receive 10 points (Your goal is to get the most points.

8.5) If you have a adventure pack, you can complete it for 5 points since it's only extra.

9) Complete a Skylanders game and you and your team will receive 50 points. You will also receive +1 of any Skylander of your choice to add to your army and you can pick a Skylanders game of you choice to play next. You can even replay the same game you already played once you beat another game.

10) Repeat cycle.

Goal: You want you and your team to earn the most points and stay ahead of the other team. You want to have a big army so others can still earn points for your team even if your not as active and you want to keep playing games so you can receive +1 Skylanders to extend your army and have less chances of failing and losing points.

I'm sorry if this isn't the best at giving you the idea how to do this. I tried my hardest.

You only have to reset the 2 you're going to use for the challenge. (+1 per game conquered, though I presume that's optional.)

Honestly I didn't think much of vichles. I think I posted Instant Hot Streak only but you can use any. They don't have HP, upgrades and levels like Skylanders do.

Well, IIRC, you can only use Instant Hot Streak with Instant Spitfire (or other instants on tablet).

Vehicles do have mods and purchasable upgrades which affect the vehicle sections.

So, I guess that means 1 Land vehicle only with no upgrades and default mods?

Sure. I guess the Sea and Sky vehicles could be used for extra points like the adventure packs since someone who has the game might not have them.

So when do we start?

Whenever you want.

Glad to see you joined. I'll accept this but your going to need a second Skylander. But yes Luminous is DEFINITELY allowed.

Oh ok! I'll use Blades then as my second Skylanders

Added him. Since I'm using the 3DS (I'm on a trip for a few days so I can't get to my Wii U) I may need to sort the levels out differently.


Also if you lose both Knight Light and Blades (Or any other Skylander you obtain later) you restart the level and 5 points are subtracted.

So far today I have finished the adventure pack levels for doctor's adventure and only one death with sunburn in empire of ice.

Dayum. Alright. I'll start tomorrow.

The villain camp missions don't count but I completed 4 levels anyways

I have finished chapters 3-5 today. One day less to wait for supercharger.

Also, I'll be going to a place with no internet connection (except mobile) nor available console, so since I haven't actually started on SSA yet, I'll be switching to SSA 3DS as my first game and post my results when I'm back (or with my phone, but that's really tedious, so most likely not).
EDIT: I'll be going tomorrow instead, but I might as well still stick to 3DS, since I know I'll be going.

And tragically, I have to replace Hex with Ghost Roaster. I tried putting her in SuperChargers with the Rift Portal to reset her, but she wouldn't load. Tried again in SG 3DS with the SSF 3DS portal (my only 3DS portal), still nothing. So, my Hex is officially dead T-T

(Ordered a new one on Ebay for a decent price, hard to find reasonable shipping, but found a good one, so hopefully I'll get to add her later in the challenge.)
This prompted me to check all my other Skylanders, all of which thankfully worked! *rejoice*

3 deaths and many close calls in Whitefall Summits (3-x)... Yetis and ice are horrible.

(BTW, with Adventure Packs having 2 levels each in SSA/SG 3DS, do they give 5 points each for a total of 40 possible points?)

Also, shouldn't DragonSlicers' score be 80? (Skycrosser24: 10 points x 5 chapters + 5 points x 4 AP levels + 10 points, Daily Challenge = 50+20+10 = 80. GigaCamo: No progress updates.)

Wow you've been busy. I'm counting the villain boot camps btw. I'm on the semi final world of Trap Team 3DS. I'm switching to Giants 3DS afterwards but I realized I NEED a second Skylander and Blackout or Spotlight don't work in the game.

Yeah, the 2-character requirement in the 3DS games (excluding Racing) messes with the challenge rules a bit if you don't have enough compatible ones. That's one of the reasons I started with SSA characters - they're compatible in all games, so I'll always have the bare minimum requirement.

I propose adding a caveat to the rules: If you only have 1 Skylander which is compatible when you go to an earlier game, you can add a second to your arsenal (early access to the character you would otherwise unlock upon completing the game).

I'm going to add 2 characters but only use 1

I'll play alone so just call my team undeadmaster. I'm playing SSA and using eruptor and drobot.
