By the gaffe of xbox & ps logos. And there is no official link (like a store's site) showing where this pic originated, and not social media.

That didn't address my question at all! What about the Wolfgang art on the side of the box. Clearly, that's new! Unless you can prove to me that it came from somewhere else.

Also, the angles of the figures are different then they were on the original picture of the Dark Edition. And were would that chest come from, because it looks exactly like the chests do in the game.

It's clearly going to unlock something special. It's just a question of what that special thing is. I'm think mods themed after Kaos or The Darkness, or the power to give your Imaginator a Dark-themed color set.

I suppose I should note that it's a fan-made Facebook page. Not from Activision or the official Skylanders brand.

Now that there will probably be just one Crystal per element, I just need cloud-saving or something like the villain vault for my creations, and I'll be extremely happy.

I keep having to remind myself that these are called Crystals and not Traps. It just feels like such a Trap Team 2.0 I keep calling these traps.

Anyway, I think that if each crystal is to have a unique design, then the Tech crystal should keep the one on the poster and the Fire one should change. The one the Tech Crystal has now is far more Tech-orientated, while I think the Fire Crystal should have one more like a volcano.

The thing with that is that TFB already appears to be using the current Fire design for the game, so most likely we’ll see a new design for Tech. If they change the Fire design now, with there already being figures of them made, then there would probably be more confusion amongst them.

I don't think they'll change it, but it just seems like the Fire Crystal's design belongs with the Tech Element, because it looks very mechanical. Oh well.

I think it suits both, but if I had to choose one it would be Tech.
It could still be Fire because it kinda remembers me of certain Munition Forge-like designs in fantasy games: something forged inside a volcano or lava stream.

The picture's definately legit (the artwork isn't altered regular Wolfgang artwork,Dark Wolfgang has more light on him) but it's more likely someone put that together from artworks and screwed up. The weird sky backdrop also makes this look really early and not supposed to be public, just to show the higher ups the design. Wouldn't be surprised if this changes entirely once it's closer to release.

That chest though, is very intriguing...

The first thing which came to my mind when I saw it was "it must contain additional mods", maybe dark color palettes and dark gear?Who knows

Whatever is in it needs to be something worth it. Not an enhancer to some game mode no one ever plays ( *Cough, Cough, Kaos Trophy*

I play the racing mode more than the actual adventure and my friend uses the Kaos trophy as his main.

Well, the Kaos Trophy is more or less cheating, but it's still a Sky-only vehicle and useless in the main story. At least if these are recolored character parts they'll go wherever the Imaginator does.

The chest is in a starter pack with more than 1 crystal. Maybe it's the way you save your character designs? It does have a different color scheme than normal dark stuff since it's gold and black.

You'll notice how the pic your so excited about cuts wolfgangs figure off in the exact spot where it's covered in this pic by the crystals.

The chest is identical in design to the chests you find in the game (except for the Dark colouring) that give you imaginite/gear. I'm still unsure whether you actually get imaginite and gear or if they're the same thing, so I'm going to assume this contains some Epic/Mythic dark imaginite/gear

You're dodging my question. If this is fake, how did they get new, professional Wolfgang art, and the different angles for all 3 figures, including Wolfgang.

And yeah, it's definitely photoshopped, its a pretty clear early rendition of the Dark Starter box. This isn't about it being physically a real box, because it isn't, its about it being a real conceptual box.

His artwork looks legit for sure and the Imaginite Chest has a distinctive shape, but everything else,yeah.
