Well, there's not really different designs of them like the traps, so I'm assuming same design for each element. Except if they make variant Creation Crystals.

Well, today I learned you can make your Custom Skylander be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal! That's good to know.

I just realized that this is probably gonna be the smallest amount of figures I'll get for a Skylanders game, at around 14 or so, basically just the villains, King-Pen, and the 3 Creation Crystals the Dark Starter comes with.

That is, unless an actual good design for the new Senseis pops up.

It's fun to see Skylanders be Actual Characters for once.

Does anyone else think the Senseis should have been called Grand Masters instead? Given the whole "Master" thing for Skylanders and all. Plus these Senseis seem more like Paragons and Masters than simply teachers.

The thing for me is that there seems to be lots of cribbing from Lego series/games. Lego have Senseis in Ninjago, custom minifigure character creation in the games and I'll be damned if the initial star man in the Skylanders character creator does't look like Lord Vortech from Dimensions (which I'm sure is co-incidence).

I don't like how skylanders give no feedback to anything ever. All they do is talk to themselves for the majority of the time you're playing as them. I assume it's going to be like LEGO Dimensions where cutscenes and dialogue come from characters you can actually play as, and I don't even care if I see a copy of who I am. Another reason why I'm a front-runner of the hype train (Meaning I'm so hyped that I'm buying this game day-one)

Just a guess but I assumed they might have been talking about:

Kaos Sensei...nuff said. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the exclusive in the Dark starter...if he's in at all.

I think that's what his dark edition is based off of, I'm sure the developers would know if he finished looking like his evolved form. They probably liked it and kept it.

WHO CARES ABOUT WHERE HE FOUND IT DARK EDITION HYPE

Also, this seems to confirm crystals are 5 bucks, as the dark edition always totals to the price of it's additional contents. So if Wolfgang is 15 dollars then that would place the Dark Starter Pack at $90 which means both of the crystals will be 5 bucks, to push the price to $100

Ok, they are really trying their best with this year's figures; I was complaining they lacked details but, not only are they unfinished... Look at those figures.
They are starting to look more and more like proper collection figures.

I am a bit worried by their sizes and I still hope they'll change the bases a bit because not all of them need to be that big but I'm truly impressed.
Same goes for the Creation Crystals: seems like there might be a couple molds to choose from but apparently the imaginite shards will be unique according to the Elements.
Which is fantastic, I was simply expecting recolors but this is awesome.

Anyway, a couple things I noticed from the SkyKids video:

- apparently when no Skylander or crystal is on the Portal you get two options: you can either restart the level as always or access something called M.A.P..
Open world, maybe (YES PLEASE)...?

- you can briefly see under Golden Queen's base and there is something weird under it, like a sticker or a paper piece, maybe because they are prototypes.
I couldn't make out any colored bases though.

Now I'm really tempted to pre-order the dark edition but at the same time I don't want to make the same mistakes I did with the last couple games...
