I'm sure most of you noticed in the creation screen of the game that there was a head that looked identical to Splats. Well, I also saw Boom Jet, Double Trouble and one that looked very similar to Ka-Boom. So, do you think old Skylanders will unlock heads or even more body parts? (dress for Hex, Hood for Enigma/Star Strike, Scorpion Tail for Scorp)

I speculated this as a possibility. Not sure what else to say. Stick around and see what they say.

I spotted Spyro head, Spyro tail and Spyro horns in the creator, as well Krypt King arms and Knight Light wings from the main custom in the trailer.. Doubt they'll be unlocked by old characters, though.

It may very well be the "randomized" drop chests that deliver it. I could see that as being nasty to the non-collectors if they tied it to the specific toys. I can see certain variants dropping specific content though.

Yeah saw them too Though it seemed like they replaced the ears...
But I also saw Bat Spin's "wing ears" and some Pop Fizz/Trigger Happy like ears.

I don't think old skylanders will unlock those tbh.

They need to sell senseis and crystals, and they also need to encourage to complete the game as much as possible. These three are probably the ways to go for getting more customization options.

Sure, it's great for the collectors, but pretty limiting for people who only have a few figures. I can't see the devs being that mean.

I think that's the most likely case.

Of course they're playable!

Or make it like SSC and TT combined, where you can unlock "legacy" body oarts, but also buy them, earn them.

i can see krypt king unlocking a BIG sword...

Have we seen gameplay with old figures being played?

It would be amazing if (and its a huuuuge IF) we see the body parts of Bowser and DK in the selections.
Imagine if Activision pulled something sneaky like that, (since the agreement between Nintendo & Acti might have been Bowser and DK skymiibos cannot work on other consoles besides Nintendo), so to get around that Acti included the PARTS (head, body, arms, legs, tail, etc) of Bowser and DK in SI. That would be awesome. Now it probably wont happen, but just imagine if it did.

They might be reaaaaly sneaky and include their parts with names such as "Turtle King Head" or "Handsome Gorilla Chest", but even if they couldn't include those specific parts I feel like they might add at least Bowser's hammer as a Smasher weapon.

Their parts could also be Nintendo-only, and I think that would be the right way to handle exclusive features.

I hope we can unlock body parts with old characters.

This would mean I could finally make Giants, like a giant Crash or something.


It would be cool if this worked with minis, We could make every giant a mini!

Like a lot of people have suggested, it could work as like a fast unlock system. Every Skylander's part could naturally be in the game and unlocked at random just like any other part. Having the Skylander it corresponds to just means you could do that if you don't want to wait.

I really hope this is the case. There hasn't really been a legit benefit to having collected all previously released Skylanders for a while (last one I can think of was Giants with Heroic Challenges). It's not a make or break but would be a nice nod to fans/collectors that have been here since the beginning.
