Midnight release for me. I want Tri Top so badly.

I knew that when I saw it I wouldn't hold to my "wait game buy all figures" idea.

I can't decide yet... I want to see more about the game. I might get it as a sale or something.

Uh... Usually I wait till the start of the next year when it's like $30 at a Skylanders Day... At least for the last 2 games... But this time, first sale that comes along. ($45 or less)

Will only buy Day One if there is a decent sale like last year at TRU. Will hold off to buy most of the characters when Black Friday rolls around.

Unless I can get a job for more money between now and when the game comes out, I'm either gonna wait for a sale or I'm gonna get it for my birthday or Christmas unless the NX comes out this year or if there's anything else I want.

Depends. If I end up liking it (after seeing all trailers, Skylanders, etc.), Day 1. If not, probably never, regardless of sales.

I know know I am getting it Day One hands down. Really want to get the game, with maybe 2 creation crystals and 2 characters that I really like, but seeing how I did in Superchargers, I got the game and SO many characters, I think I might get a lot more then 2 crystals and 2 characters. I'll probably get Tri Top day one (Since he looks awesome) And as he, is most likely in wave 1 being revealed so early.

Go to EB Games and pick up the pre-ordered Skylanders Imaginators PS4 starter pack. (Don't want the Dark Edition this year)
Grab maybe 3 extra characters and 4 creation crystals. Characters such as Tri Tip and 2 others i like.

I was wondering, do they midnight release Skylanders? I remember going into a Walmart for Trap Team at midnight and it was dead as dead can be. Does TRU do the midnight run for Skylanders? I'm pretty sure Gamestop doesn't.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, you can you get the game early by ordering it Amazon. If you're lucky. Some people mentioned getting it days early that way. Others a week after. >.<!! I'm pretty sure I'll just walk into TRU at any time that day and get a starter with no issue. If there is a Mesmerlda figure out early, then I could be there at opening.

I think I MIGHT buy this day-one seeing how I'm really into modding and customization.

The problem is though, I'm afraid it would be limited to specific parts. But if it's like Spore's creature creator, count me in.

certain TRU locations in the USA do midnight launches. we obviously won't know which ones until around september/october

if anyone seen my previous posts in threads today. I'm getting this DAY ONE! I just hope it's detailed. It doesn't seem like i'm really going to be waiting for characters like previous years because the official skylanders are done for me when I can create my own.
I said a few posts ago in this thread yah I usually should wait because the skylanders I most need come at the end. But as I just said won't touch a single official character in this game.
Though I was in awe when the first picture I saw was of Golden queen.

Absolutely, especially since Europe gets it pretty early again!

Looking forward to at least Tri-Tip on release day, no more Creation Crystals for now, until I find out more about them.

I'm definitely done with Alt Decos. The idea seems positive enough for me to be a Day One purchase, but we'll see on reveal tomorrow.

I will buy it the game day 1, but I will also buy another 1-2 characters for it on day 1. Probably buy a villain or sensei amd a creation crystal.

Get the regular starter pack for PS4 with Golden Queen, Master King Pen and the Fire Creation Crystal, get Wolfgang and Tri-Tip with the Life and Dark Creation Crystals.

We'll probably find out what else is in Wave one later on, and I'll probably be getting more characters and crystals.

My dad will be doing a business trip during the launch week. So i can't do midnight.. but i'll go to gamestop to buy a dark edition! YEE

Alright, I've decided. I'm going to get as many FIGURES as I can on Day One, but I'll wait till Black Friday for the Starter Pack and (maybe) the Dark Starter Pack.

Dark PS4 Starter
Wii U Starter (only if on sale for like half off)
At least one Creation Crystal for each Element

Going to get 10 of each crystal for each element if their aren't different types

Well, smarter option would be to wait because they QUICKLY get discounted within weeks. BUT, unless things change, this is the most excited I've been for a Skylander's game in a long...LONG time.

As of now, I'm ready fof Day 1

Definitely getting the starter pack day one. Might wait for a sale for the figures. Not sure what I'm gonna do with the imagination crystals. How are the molds gonna work? Will the molds be completely random and arbitrary like traps, making collecting the ones I want a chore? Will there maybe be two or three "canister" molds spread across all the elements with a unique "crystal" mold specific to each element? Personally I want one of each element with identical "canisters" but different "crystals", as I think that would be the coolest look.

depends if pre ordering gives a discount like superchargers did for me way back when and secondly on the deals they might have. this game seems more final than the last with the build your own mentality and really what other gimmicks are there? villain figures, senseis and looking at some of the pages they talk of sky-chi <- chima ripoff much?

I just don't think after this you can really do anything else without retreading the same places and while ttl was a fun genre its good to play other types of games that don't expect that much of a money sink per entry. there's just too much of an excessive burn.

They might have more plans for the series and they should, I just don't think they'll get to them like they intend to. infinity ran out of steam that disney cut them off. activision can do the same here. While they might get some people back into the loop for another round, most just don't care anymore. Gamers grew up for instance and most of the newer players aren't getting into ttl.

P.S. if you're looking for a killer supercharger sale, toys r us has a buy 1 get 2 free sale going on right now, easily got the buzz wing cheap with other figures along with the rest of the eons elite i needed.

i will wait after xmas...

then it should be more stuff to pick up, i want to get access to everything and not be waiting on an element or something for months before i can access that part of the game.

Well, I actually submit an entry to that contest where you supposedly get a free starter pack if you're in the Top 10, or something from what I've been told. So, I'll wait and see before I make any plans.

Definitely getting it on day one.. I may not pick up everything I want on day one but I'l atleast be getting the game and some creation crystals.

We'll be waiting for a sale on this one. I've got 3 kids and Superchargers was a lame duck for them after release. We bought all of wave 1 and 2 and no one base played that thing since before Christams. They loved Trap Team but I think for this one we'll wait for the Black Friday sales. Plus, with GS having the Dark Starter Exclusive in the US the Black Friday sale will be the only way to get that relatively cheap.
