I would love for them to convert the mod system to an armor/weapon switching system in Sky 6. I wonder whether they would actually incorporate it into the figures or just make it an in-game only thing.

That would be perfect.

The equipment switching mechanic might be really interesting gameplay-wise but it wouldn't excite me as a toy feature.

Didn't thought about mods foreshadowing this mechanic, well done!

But... Something makes me think we would still get a toy gimmick if that was the case.

Right now, I want it to be and I think it will be interchangeable weapons. The way that both characters hold out their weapons causes me to think so. This does sound like a pretty cool gimmick if it happens.

I'd love the ingame skins as well. Could even do it like the vehicles, everyone gets the same 5 or so palette swaps, but if you have dupes, it's perfect to quickly tell them apart.

Yup, with the added customization of hats of course - if they have a palette editor(and for variants they must have it), it's just sorta time consuming. If I can't have my Skylanders Dressing minigame for maximum customization, I'll settle for a few colors and the 256 hats just fine.

I have thought of that as well, but dunno how would they "justify" releasing variants where the colors and stats are the main changes if you can already choose your owns in the game.

Same reason we have vehicle pallettes - ingame ones are simple and give no stats. Not like you can make Pluck variants sell, either.

Also, why a dressing game would be one of my dreams? I love using the embarassing outfits or the really stylish ones once main game is over. I have Bayonetta running around in the dumb dress at the second game for all the postgame stuff because it's so silly and doesn't break the pace of the story anymore.

I think transformations would be a much better idea!

I mean, there's always the concept of evolving original Skylanders...but I don't really want that either. As someone mentioned, there is the idea of unlocking different mods for the Skylander, and you can customize the mods anyway you want it. There's also palette swaps, too.

Or, going along with palette swaps, what if they could switch eleme...actually, no. Please don't shoot me. I dare not think it.

Maybe they'll use Swap-Force like tech to have external weapons, armors, skins, etc? That would be super duper cool.

Well Battlecast seems to be out worldwide, there's nothing stopping them from moving on to 6kylaners now except the press release and usual stuff.

Oh, don't mind my tone. Bluestacks just let me down once again and doesn't run BC properly, no other phones in the house are compatible. I'll just go sulk in the corner.

i have high hopes for this one and i believe sky6 will be really good. its tfb after all and they are my favorite developers of skylanders since spyro adventure

I feel like an announcement is not so far away in time for now we wait I got to keep telling myself patience is key.

I hope they do something to add excitement to all the old figures. I'm tired of having my previous figures get dusty, since they can't really do anything new ingame. I hope interchangeable weapons isn't the case, though it would be cool. That was what I had original thought TT was. But I'm SO HYPED now! WOO WOO!

It has the characteristics of both actually. There are defiantly flippers underneath the arm blades, but the face does look eagle like. For all we know, it could be a hybrid species.

I'll just call it a Peagle... or Eaglin, or... whatever it's name is.

Skylanders rarely look like their species, i mean Hot Dog and Funny Bone don't really look like dogs at all. Same goes for Ozzy, he doesn't look like an ostrich. They just have an unique style (which i kinda like)

About this Battlecast article, they said that they where trying to make a game for a older audience, since the kids who started at Spyro's Adventure are growing up. This made me think that the main game (or the 7th one) might get the same treatment. Maybe turn the gameplay more complex and continue with the story style of SuperChargers. As Eric Rogers said, the series will get this tone too.
