It really hurts, seeing others with their dads when I'm alone. It really hurts when I look at photos of him sitting there and smiling. It hurts when I watch videos of him, standing there. It hurts not coming downstairs to see you watching TV, it hurts not hearing you call my name. It hurts regretting that I didn't spend enough time with you. It really hurts when I dream that none of it ever happened, and that you never passed, to wake up and realize that I was dreaming. If that accident never happened all those years ago, you would have never struggled with your condition for so long. I am SO angry at them for letting it happen to you. Nothing will EVER be the same, a piece of my heart is missing. I see all the elderly and realize that you never got to be that age. I see the place you went on our last family walk. I miss you dad, you didn't get to see me get older. I can't believe that it's almost been a year since the day that everything was ruined. Since the day I woke up in horror. Since then I've had little sleep, no happy days, and no hope.
