Oh boy almost time to wade through fake leaks to find the real things. Wasn't there something really strange announced in April 1st last year that was very much real? I think it was a Nintendo Direct but I can't remember.

Well considering we got a gimmick last year, we should most likely get a theme this year based on the pattern I've seen.

2012- Theme(Darkskylanders?)
2013- Avatar swap+Spyro characters in posts
2014- Glorious Darkripto
2015- DS Coins+Titles
2016- Theme?

The last 2 themes have been on Spyro-related characters, indirectly with Skylanders in 2012 and directly with Ripto in 2014. The 2 themes before that involved mostly unrelated charcters with darkCrash and darkPokemon. So this year I'd say we're likely to recieve a theme based on a Spyro character, probably one from the TLOS trilogy this time since we've had characters from the Skylanders era and the original era. I'd say the most likely theme will be based on Malefor or Cynder, however since we already had a theme with a main villain in 2014 a darkCynder theme is marginally more likely to happen for the 2016 April Fools event.

I was gone for a lot of all of 2014 and most of 2015 so I don't really remember any of that.
