One thing I noticed on the other topics Stages post, wouldn't the Duck Hunt stage in the 3DS version still be DLC even though it was free? I know it came with an update, but that's still technically downloading it.

It would. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! I probably just forgot to put the * under it.

There are a few details I need to fix up over there, so I'll make sure to add that in with them.

I really hope that the next DLC stage is FoD because 3DS needs more tourney legal stages. Well that or Pokemon Stafium one because Smash just feels incomplete without it.

It's about time a Square Enix character got in. I doubt he's a ballot character, a bit too soon for that. Besides given that SE and Nintendo have been on good terms for years, it makes sense. Didn't expect Cloud since other than KH Chain of Memories and KH Coded, I don't think he's been on a Nintendo system. However, I was hoping a SE character would happen at some point.

That space setting was a huge way to throw me off and think we're getting Wolf.

Then I saw the "x" after the Smash logo and got kind of disappointed knowing that whoever was coming was a third party character.

Cloud is not something I expected or something I would've wanted in the game if he wasn't already announced. But I'll probably pick him up if he's worthwhile.

The problem that I have with CLoud is that he has the generic Ike Final Smash.

Cloud in SSB is unexpected, but interesting. Final Fantasy is one of my absolute favorite series, and while Cloud is far from my favorite character, he was my favorite to use in Dissidia Final Fantasy, so I'm interested in how this will be. Ike is also one of my mains in SSB4, so...

Guess I'll be back to playing SSB4 once he's released. Might get Ryu as well.

Big news? ***** Cloud is the mother ****ing boy. If you don't understand how important Cloud is the go play an JRPG that doesn't start "Poke" and ends with "mon".

Cloud's model looks pretty bad in my opinion but he's still got awhile until his release. He can have godly recovery and have his long as sword to space himself. Plus he has a projectile so you he's gonna force you to approach him. His stage however looks badass but I'm sad that it's not legal because the stage's shape looks beautiful.

From what it seems, Smash could get new content until Dec of next year. Although, I'm thinking well get the last of the content around neat years E3, that's a very good place to end Smash 4's support.

This upcoming smash specific presentation/mini-direct/broadcast is going to be the last one for Smash 4. I'm sure future directs will have Smash related stuff afterwards though.

I really can't get excited for this guy. Maybe if I were a FF or Square Enix fan I'd feel better about Cloud, but for now I couldn't care less. I'd rather they spent the time they're using to make Cloud go to a 1st party or at least Rayman instead.

In case it wasn't obvious, I'm hyped as hell. Square Enix is love and Cloud in Smash is a dream come true for me. I will be buying him day 1 for his DLC and Amiibo.

I'm not big on Cloud himself and would have preferred Black Mage or Cecil as an FF rep, but I've always wanted a Square Enix rep as they are a big Nintendo collaborator. And I knew it was always gonna be Cloud if they got one.

He looks fun to play for causal play but I probably won't main him. Midgar also looks like one of the best stages in the game.
