I kinda like it. I'll have to keep an eye out for it when Wave 2 finally hits store shelves here.

Copper high volt? I NEED THIS.

I actually like this one. I like that it looks like aged copper and not just a clear or solid color re-paint. There's a lot of detail in it.

Are we sure he's a chase variant, and not possibly some kind of exclusive? Just curious.

Well it would most likely show the different colouring on the packaging and the name would be something like "Copper High Volt". It would also show the different colouring in game and say "Copper High Volt" instead of "Special" next to the regular High Volt name.

Yep, good call. Brain fart on my part, as for some reason I was thinking that "High Volt" was a variant name.

Thankfully it's not an in-game variant and just a rare/chase.

I'm all for these special colored versions for people to hunt or get super lucky, but I say keep them out of the game if they aren't going to be mass produced.

I like it now to find this and that gold car which I still cant come across. At this rate id prob be better off buying a $100 starter with it

The concept is cool,but yeah it's waaay too green to look good on a figure even if it's realistic rust(real life is unrealistic and all that). Something more orangey would've been really pretty.

Compared to Steel Plated Smash Hit it's a thing of beauty . . .

Variants are like doubling the figure count this year. it's literally out of control...for collectors.

I like this paint job a lot more than most of the variants. It does look like aged bronze. Statue of Liberty High Volt.

you know theres going to be buttloads of them Matt...right? ...
....being only 40 odd figures ...knowing they will make up the rest with Chase an In-Game Variants.

Also he dose look kinda cool...that gold rub isn't easy to do....altho they should have done it on a flat base....if you ever saw the Statue of Liberty up close she's not shiny...or even mat/satin finished.

At this rate it'll be easier to list which ones don't have a variant. Seems that more of them does than doesn't now.

But wow that High Volt is something else. I thought at first someone was trolling us with yet another fake image. This time I wish they actually had...

I love this variant because it is creative and it fits. I wish it would have been an in-game variant.

Looks weird, but nice. Could have used a better color than mint-y, but it still looks fantastic, nice rust effect, a lot of detail too

I'm liking it. Gives it that real metal look.

This could be true and ppl are saying the golden car isn't rare maybe this wont either. Id be all for a few less figures this year but more a chance to get a chase variant then past yrs.

There is none, actually. It's just a regular one with modified data.

How many chase versions are sent per store?

I left TRU this morning, and the employee let me open and go through all the wave two boxes. I literally cut open all boxes with my car keys, and not a single chase version of high volt.

This is the only TRU halfway close to me, and I was the first person there going through the Skylanders boxes.

It's completely random. Some stores might get one, some might get two or three, and most will get absolutely none. They're called chase variants for that reason.

1st game I've been interested in the chase variants.

When wave 2 hits all stores maybe I'll have some better luck finding one. Lol prob not

The figure data was modified to have a Special tag in it.

Really!? I've searching at El corte ingles at Barcelona and didn't find him

Went to TRU and looked everywhere for him through the whole store, I also looked for places people might have hidden him to come back for him. The manager even let me see the rest of their stock that they didn't have enough room to put on the shelves. Still nothing. So, I picked up High Volt, Nightfall, (Which I got in the back and they asked if I was sure if I wanted her since the Xbox One patch wasn't fixed yet and I said yes so that I can get it out of the way) Burn Cycle, and Stealth Stinger.
