I was actually thinking if Thrillipede's Soul Gem coul make him grow two fabulous butterfly wings.
That would be unexpected.

Might be bubbles of paint,and then splattering makes a lot more sense than just either one.

But back to the comic,wow Fico and the colorist gave their all in here. Everything is a lot more detailed without exaggeration and no effort was wasted in giving mood coloring.

Wait, are the villains actually put through horrible forced brainwashing? The Skylanders are supposed to be the good guys right?

Good guys yes, but if they've broken out of any normal prision to exist in Skylands(Issue 0),repeatedly broke out of Cloudcracker Prision until it was eventually shown to not be foolproof(Issue 0 and TT), and SEVERAL of them are shown to be insane and have no hesitation of doing horrible crimes; but you're in a PG-10 series where you're not allowed to kill them... It's kinda justified for the Skylanders do what they've done to them. It also explains why they all become so much more friendly when they're trapped, it's not just 'oh I agree with your mission now', though there are exceptions like Broccoli Guy who really didn't seem to care to begin with if he's evil or not.

I'm sorry, all I can think of right now is the torture scene from A Clockwork Orange but with Kaos. Ugh.

It's messed up, but there's really no better way to explain why they haven't rebelled when tagged in the game that a kid would understand.

Anyways Splat uses a bubble wand...? Er, that's unexpected and not as good as a paintbrush but she definitely still has the potential to be unique. As for Thrillipede, still love him and the Buzz Wing! As others said, he's likely holding fruit or something. Maybe one of his attacks is where he throws an egg and a baby hatches to help? Just an idea but hey, you never know! I really hope that website updates soon though. It's obvious they're holding the rest of the stuff back just to generate hype and demand.

Why would he be throwing fruit? It's clear from his design and name that he's a thrill seeker, so the grenades match that general design. I doubt they'll simply explode, but they are pretty clearly of the grenade type projectile category.

Because the shape of that grenade looks a lot like a cashew with some rope on it. It's just too curved,but like some wrong guesses we had in the past it could just be the angle.

The color is far too dull to be any type of fruit. When I first saw it I actually thought they looked like little slug grenades, so maybe they're literal bug bombs.

Splat is going to be the most anticipated SuperCharger for me.

Maybe they are forbidden fruits and when he eats them he becomes very strong. But it takes away his health when he uses them.

The "grenades" could actually be cocoons which he throws to either spawn bugs or maybe create puddles of sticky goo or they could even plain explode.

You could choose which type of cocoon you want to throw similar to Pop Fizz's potions.

Well in various gameplay videos that have it, Buzz Wing seems to shoot some sort of insect. And well, High Five is an insect so put two and two together its kind of in his name that he's a life (centipede -> insect -> Life Element)

I thought Buzz Wing shot like 5 lasers that you can't avoid..

I sincerely don't think Thrillipede's a Life Skylander just because he's a bug.
Sure High Five is part bug too yet Dune Bug and Swarm are actual bugs but belong to different Elements.

Life is usually associated to either plants or as the name suggest the power to give life or summon specific creatures.
The non-plant Life Skylanders (such as Stink Bomb or Stealth Elf) still use some kind of plant or fruit in their attacks or simply summon living beings.

No Life Skylander has escaped those features so far and since Thrillipede definitely isn't a plant you can bet he'll have at least one of those abilities to fit the theme.

Yeah,but we don't see any new figures in the table at PAX in both videos we have. Besides, not to insult Yroc, but I don't remember him ever getting any press info from Activision exclusively,or anything that hinted towards that. If it's just the clear picture of Splat, I don't really need to watch a whole video about it,a screenshot will do.

Possibly pointless news, but Lou Studdert changed his twitter background to a chalk drawing of the Chompy Mage(and if you guys need to know why I'm checking twitters, since Ron Marz' was the only way to find the Rift into Overdrive previews,checking if someone asked things about it to them or David Rodriguez). If you guys remember, I-Wei last year revealed that the TFB studio has a blackboard wall where he occasionaly puts chalk drawings(in a video where he drew... Knight Light and a Dark/Light split logo I think?); while this might not be anything that matters, we could be seeing another speed-drawing from him in the official channel soon.

I believe we should give Thrillipede a chance to earn his glory. If we are lucky enough he might be the next or even surpass as the most powerful life character.

I trink it's just some silly contest with some skylanders that already everyone has.

I actually like Thrillipede a lot and hope he turns out to be as great as I am hoping him to be.
I also love the Buzz Wing and cannot wait to use High Five with it.

Rifts have always existed but only Superchargers gave it any use since they were easy wormholes to the ends of Skylands. Dunno what the Core of Light will do with any of this,but the usage of the rifts is still because Kaos destroyed portal communication with the Doomstation.With the name of World 1 spoiled by the achievements,though, I could make a good guess.
