I have looked in Toys r us, Walmart, Target and GameStop in my area and have not found it at all. The only place I have seen it is on Amazon or EBay for over 40$.
Has anyone had luck finding it?

Well, he should be available on Best Buy online, that's where I got him and Spotlight from.

I haven't thought of best buy, will try them.

He is pretty hard to get but I would check mom and pop stores that sell skylanders good luck!!

Check Best Buy. He is always in abundance when I go.

Is there any other place than Toys R Us?

Gnarly Barkley is exclusive to Toys R Us...if you can't find him there your only shot is EBay or Amazon.

Tons of Gnarly Barkleys at all the TRU stores I've checked in the past month! Is it just me or were the mini singles vastly overpriced at $9??? I got the Easter ones for a decent price during the Best Buy buy 1 get 1 50% off sale which stacked with Gamers Club Unlocked. I'm still waiting on a decent TRU sale to get Gnarly Barkley.

I just need Gnarly Barkley, Spotlight, and Fling Kong to round out the ones i want.

i have no idea where to find spotlight though.

Walgreens had one last time I was there, they usually have a couple new figures out

I got mine at Walmart. I got lucky and was in the aisle as they pulled out t the box and I got first grabs. Tip, learn what day shipments come in and if they aren't out, ask if they have any in the back

Per the photos I saw on Twitter yesterday from some sort of NYC blogging event that the Skylanders team attended, apparently all of the remaining stock of Blackout was there, lol! They had this table set up with what I'm assuming was giveaway goodies and they had 2-3 rows of each of the wave 4 (?) singles, save Blackout...who had like 10-12 rows. Madness!

I got lucky, I found 1 Spotlight and 1 Blackout at Best Buy

I have 2 on my shelf, bought all 6 of them from ebgames the minute they opened the shipment, also got a spotlight at the same time, sold 2 of them to friends and gave one to my cousin for his b-day, the last one was sold on kijiji for 40$, not usually the scalper type but needed the money for some books i need for my course.

I checked Bestbuy online, you had to pick up in store, but it showed one store that had um, I called to see if they could ship to a store closer to me and they said I had to go to the store near me and tell them their store number.
Long story short, the store called the other store, they had one left, and they are shipping to the closer store! Thank you zookinator for suggesting bestbuy

Blackout and Spotlight are the only two from this era I want and yet I still can't find them. Spotlight isn't even on bestbuy.com anymore. Were they a limited run?

They seem to be falling under the "short wave", much like last year with scratch and firebone hotdog, they came and went pretty quickly.

I haven't found Blackout either, which is a shame because he's on my "want list". Not even Amazon has him. :/

I've seen him on Amazon but I'd rather not pay 40+ for him. Weird I was able to find a couple of Scratch, never knew she was rare

I believe Spotlight and Blackout were a part of the Wave 3 shipments that seemed to have disappeared during the strike. Although I saw several wave 3 Trap Masters at a Walmart recently. So I wondered if maybe they were starting to leak out. But that Walmart also had a few dark edition starter packs.

I'm having the same problem with spotlight. her page is gone from best buy's website. she's selling for $40 on amazon.

Something Iv'e noticed, is that amazon sellers generally charge even more than eBay sellers.

All the wave 3 cores seem to have only really gotten one shipment. I've never even seen trailblazer or cobra cadabra

I still see Trailblazer in stores from time to time while hunting. He's not as hard to find as Echo, Spotlight, and Blackout. Or the disappeared Trapmasters (Krypt King, Wildfire, and Wallop). Even Rocky Roll and Bat Spin supply are starting to dwindle down.

I used to see echo everywhere in april, now i've only seen one in collector store, going for 20$. Should've got her when I had the chance.

I've like, maybe seen one or two Blackouts recently, and I've never seen any Echos or Trailblazers.

His scarcity reminds me of another hard to find toy named Blackout...

eBay charges a listing fee, Amazon doesn't, so eBayers have incentive to list a more reasonable price.

Has anyone had any luck lately or any news about a re-release? I keep seeing shelves FILLED with Spyro's Adventure, Giants and Swap Force figures but Trap Team is super scarce.

I'm guessing they got a little too happy on the production numbers.

It's been a staple for Skylanders. Later waves are always the hardest to find and go bye bye the fastest. It's dumb in my eyes.

Spotlight, Blackout, and Echo were simply underproduced. Flip Wreck and Fling Kong were later wave and were around for months since they were produced in reasonable numbers. When I stopped by the Toys R Us in Times Square late last summer, I saw walls full of tons of Flip Wreck and Fling Kong. I have no clue why stores aren't really carrying Trap Team cores anymore...you'd think TRU would have them alongside figures with old games. Perhaps Activision sees the end is near and only order one production of figures with their factories in China (thus no new production of Trap Team items). Since sales are so sluggish with Superchargers, I expect Activision to be even more conservative with later wave figures this time around.

I have never ever seen a Flipwreck or Fling Kong over here.

I'm still holding out for luck at garage sales for these harder to get Trap Teamers. I mean, I've seen dozens and dozens of them at the stores. They must go SOMEWHERE, right? So I can wait. LOL

Gamestop doesn't put out many used Trap Team figures, which is a bit suspicious to me. Do they send them off to Texas for hoarding perhaps? Or perhaps they are still very high demand? Who knows?

I was in Toys R Us and noticed that they seemed to have a lot of wave 3 Trap Masters in stock. Maybe my theory of wave 3 being stuck in a warehouse somewhere (after the port worker's strike) still holds true and they are starting to leak out. Honestly, I haven't been paying attention to Skylanders in a while, and these were in another aisle from the main one, so I can't say for sure how long they've been there. But I wouldn't be surprised to suddenly see wave 3 Skylanders (Trap Masters or core) suddenly start appearing in stores (or, at least TRU).

My TRU recently got a bunch of really strange inventory in. Random junk spread throughout the store with white price tags and the price marked out in black marker. Why I'm mentioning it is that they had a few Fling Kongs in this condition as well. I was hoping it was a late wave restock and get myself a Blackout and Spotlight, but it wasn't. I wonder if they bought out some toy store and had the inventory brought in or something. Or it was the Times Square inventory making it's way to the other stores? Who knows?!

Probably the Times Square inventory. I am trying to figure out where it all went to. Though last time I went Times Square TRU didn't have any blackout/spotlight figures.

I haven't been to the TRU Times Square since August, but the entire wall on the outside dedicated Skylanders section had TONS of Fling Kong and Flip Wreck. And zero traps other than hundreds upon hundreds of water traps. I've never seen such unbalanced Skylanders stock at another store.

On a completely unrelated note, I am in search of Spotlight...she seems to have gone missing from my collection.

Yesterday I found this in the wild for little brother . Last one i saw was over half a year ago . Bro was so happy he bought me Torch <WHOOTS FAT SCORE 4 ME !!> . Boy Blackout has flimsy whimsy wings. You wont believe the funny new stock that came out . I need to take a pic for you guys .

There were two and I scalped the other one today for a non profit fun trade. Hmmm actually mr postman will profit since I live in NO whereland outside of the American Empire .

The cashier broke the bubble from back card on the second one but those things always had weak glue on them. Annoying as i know some folks collect skylander packaging with the skylander as a minor bonus .

I am looking to trade brand new boxed broken bubble from backcard Blackout for a either a Punk Shock or Air Mini pack . If its an issue i can tape it back to the card . Thanks
