FYI Dawko is a youtube who is fairly close to Scott and he does a lot of FnaF related things. I don't follow him specifically, but he does a video every thursday with the group I follow, 8-bitgaming, which always turns out really well.

Dawko and Razzbowski (both youtubers) got an early demo of FNaF 4 from Scott Cawthon. You can see their reviews here: (but there are no gameplay or story spoilers for anyone wondering)

You need to HOLD the doors in place yourself, and there's a lot of focus on sound again.

Yes, that is brilliant. It keeps the game fresh by not having you be thrown the same jumpscare all over again and getting tired because you already know what's coming.

This certainly will be the best game.

I still don't understand why everyone is so certain about this. Sure, Scott said so on the IndieDB page. But he has also purposely misrepresented things and at least once purposely lied (even if it was a minor lie about when the FNaF 4 trailer would be released) to direct fans' beliefs about the games.

I'm not saying that there's going to be a FNaF 5 without a doubt, but it's inane to say there won't be one without a doubt. Besides, it makes sense to have a fifth game, what with five being the series arc number.

Gameplay videos for FNaF 4 are up on Razz and Dawko's (and probably some more soon) channels if you're interested. I'm going to hold off until the game comes out to the public, tho.

I'm fairly sure with how his past 3 games have come out, he doesn't put that much work into his games, especially if he always changes the release date to about 1-2 months before it's original date.

Next thing you know, Scott would release the game hours after releasing the demo.

Yet again, I say: CHILL OUT SCOTT. Seriously, he needs to stop getting so trigger happy with these release dates. This is insane that he can't wait just another week or two. I didn't even have time to say my reactions to the demo gameplay.

I'm stuck on night 3. I have trouble hearing these things. :-( But so far it's really nice. I'm avoiding spoilers so I won't be opening any spoiler tags here, if you were wondering.

I'm not a huge fan of the series but other than rushing the game out, the issues with the game that a lot of people seem to have are:

-The game is so blatantly tryhard horror. The game is all about the jumpscares now for it's horror. Previous games had much more subtlety and creepiness to them and didn't rely on jumpscares so much for the horror. This game is all about the jumpscares and not much else.

-The animatronic designs are horrifying by design. They look like unholy abominations sent from hell. Which ironically makes them less scary than before, because in past games, the animatronics weren't scary because they looked like they were meant to be, but because of the uncanny valley factor they had. That's also why people are scared of real life animatronics. And FNAF 4 misses the point of that, and goes for generic, almost demonic looking designs that clearly convey that they are killing machines.

-People have been complaining that the game is basically unplayable due to the fact you have to turn the volume up really high to hear any of the audio cues. And then when a jumpscare happens, it legitimately wrecks your ear drums. People are abstaining from playing the game simply because playing it damages their ears.
