Ok I get DS meant dual screen, DSi meaning Dual Screen "I" as in eye, and 3DS being 3D screen.

But what is NX suppose to stand for? NEXT?!

It's a "system", not a console. Steam is described as a system as well. Plus, I doubt Nintendo would announce a new console now that Wii U sales are finally picking up.

They've said nothing about it being any type of system, and said they wpuld reveal more about it next year (2016). So...it won't hurt the Wii U at all, really.
My nerdgasms won't stop help, I'm picking up too much various game information smilie

You do know this doesn't mean it being a system right? Steam itself is considered a system, so it can possibly be something as a new OS that is shared between both the 3DS and Wii U. What me and my friend were talking about is that Nintendo wants cross compatibility between both, so NX = Nintendo Cross.

nintendo just came out in another press confrence where you will have to pay for a membership so you can play your nintendo games both on the wii u, 3ds, nx, computers, tablets, and phones.
