While this may look like another dumb thread about levelling up, there is a new trick I've been using for months.

Alright, I'll jump right into some notes.

If you use a Skylander and enter an element zone giving them more power, they are stronger and earn more XP.

Quitting a level when in the element zone glitches and allows you to keep the XP bonus this defeating an enemy, hence, why I'm making this.

THIS WILL BE DONE USING A VILLAIN - YOU CAN FIND OUT OTHERS WHEREVER YOU WANT

Step 1
Enter Monster Marsh (chapter 7)

Step 2
Head over towards the Undead Gate. Do not enter it.

Step 3
Switch to your villain

Step 4
Return to the academy.

Step 5
Run over to Kaos' Doom Challenge. Don't hit any dummies, just run over.

Step 6
Select Level 81-100

Step 7
Play and defeat enemies as the villain. You will receive the XP bonus for your Skylanders.

Wow,and even if you don't have a Kaos Trap you can still exploit the heck out of it with Golden Queen for BOTH gold and XP. Nice find, might try it out for some Skylanders that have a harder time doing Doom Challenges.

You can also put a second player on the bottom of the screen in the doom challenges, and they'll usually survive if you play well. They'll get the same experience as your first player gets.

You can do it for any element. Fire characters in Chef Zepplin by replacing steps 1-3, or Air in Skyhighlands

me either. missing information on what's going on and what the method is.

The trick is to go back to the academy while in an Elemental Area with a villain. The elemental area effect carries over if you don't return to a chapter,so extra XP. I didn't try it out myself yet,though,so I don't know if it's for all versions.

OK, that's what I thought...wow that's a bug the size of a mac truck.

This explains why sometimes you deal extra elemental damages to the dummies in the Academy!

Yeah Drek it dose make sense now...and its a bigger bug then a mac truck GhostRoaster....more like the haulers in the rock quarries....LOL

Coz SF was terrible for levelling up and Sky5 may be too.

I am more concerned with buying all their powers then maxing their levels . I find playing the DS skylander games levels me up very very quick .

Not really....they are all about the same. I do want obstacles in my way as a player as I don't want an instant level up. If it's going to be that fast I may as well get the skylanders editor and max out gold and levels REALLY REALLY fast and not bother. What fun is in that?

I won't say they are all the same, but I will say this entry by far is the most level and power friendly of all the games in the series so far. there is no need to power level really.

I had no problem leveling my Skylanders in Swap Force...just did the Arena Battles -Ring Out- mode....they leveled fast enough for me....and its alot faster then this pattern you have to do to get a little boost ...i tried it the boost is not big enough to go through all those steps you have.
Also i agree with Ghost Roaster an Unreall...theres no need to power level..and wheres the fun in playing the game if you power level?

Without that Kaos Challenge I think he'd have a valid point. And I can relate to power leveling when you're goal is to do said task to 200+ skylanders....this was never a problem when Quests/Heroics were in play because you'd just about have the character upgraded on a level perspective by the time you were done.

Exactly. Try levelling up in Brock's Arena.

Kaos Doom Challenge definately punishes you for not having full health, but to be fair health won't help you against Traptanium Kaos after Hard mode,only patience,strategy and focus. So it's good if you like schooling the exact place you're power leveling at.
