This topic shows up very often so have it again.
I'm always on my laptop unless I'm away from home, then I use my phone. I'll use my tablet if I want to be on the internet while I'm in the bathroom.

90% of the time I use my MacBook Air
When it's late at night I use my iPad. I also use it in the mornings.

I use my phone close to never because it sucks. smilie

Which sort of makes the layout of this site suck. Everything's too small and condensed.


I suppose I can specify that I built my tower. Currently I've got an intel quad-core i7 @4GHz, 16 gigs of RAM, and a Geforce GTX 650 installed onto a Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H Mobo. I've got a 2TB HDD while a 250GB SSD ordered and on the way.

My case is a thermaltake V3, my monitor is an acer G215HV, and my speakers are logitech s-120's. I've got Razor for my keyboard and Mouse. Deathstalker and Deathadder respectively. Also I have a pair of Jabra headphones.

Pfff. I'm not sure. Spend some here and there over time. I think I only spent about $3-400 on my original build? Focusing just on the tower itself here, right now. I think I spent around $250-300 to upgrade to my current mobo/CPU combo. Now I've got that $100 SSD on the way.

Not sure how much the old mobo/cpu costed but I still have them, that mobo was for that AMD cpu, but damn it's nice having this current hyperthreaded i7. Anyway back on topic I've spent $800 total I suppose? I guess the monitor is the other big thing, I can't remember how much I spent on it, but I want to say it was around $80?

I'm running a totally legit copy of windows that I totally legit got for free. Legit. I can't wait to get that SSD so my boot-up time can be sped up without having to upgrade to win8.

Win10 might be something worth paying for, from what I've seen of it already. We'll see how that goes as that rolls through development.

Not everyone has the time or money to get upgrades. But my computer might be getting a upgrade sometime in the near future. Since I'll be making some money then.

It's generally cheaper to build your own. :L

It does take some time the first time you do it, you have to learn how. But once you do it's simple and upgrading is super-easy~

Peppermint has worked fine enough but I don't have the technical know-how to deal with Linux, making it seem more limited than it probably really is. I'll probably end up sticking to Windows when I get a new laptop.
