Blackout US Release Date - March 22 Now [CLOSED]

UPDATE: New email received 3/2 indicates March 22 now.

I pre-ordered Blackout at Bestbuy.com during the buy 1 get 1 50% off sale a few weeks back when posted here. I just got an order update email from Bestbuy.com that the release date is March 8th now. It may change, but just giving a heads up based on the info from the email I received from them tonight.

FYI - just realized somebody posted the same date in a thread in the Trap Team forum as well.

What would be the benefit of buying Spotlight or blackout? Will they open any special areas like the light/dark trappers??

No. The Light/Dark Trap Masters single packs will be able to do that w/o buying the expansion packs.

no but they add the light and dark traps and skylanders to your collection list and the ? mark gates turn into either light or dark and the best part is still that you can play as them of course

The same as buying any other new core character...you buy for the pure joy of playing with a new and unique character which you can level up and upgrade. Not every character needs to unlock something special in the game...that's not what Skylanders is about, nor is it a reasonable expectation.

Black light and Spot light are the only characters in interested in getting this time around (I don't even have the game!) So I'm very excited for BL's release. Did I miss Spot Light?

Yesterday SkylandersGame posted "The Light Dragon Spotlight is here! It's her Time to Shine!" Today they edited it to say "The Light Dragon Spotlight! It's her Time to shine!" I can only hope they're not planning ANOTHER delay for wave 4, but then again it can't possibly be delayed any longer.
