Kino's Journey

Very unique, very poignant, very dark, very beautiful. If you want something that truly makes you think, go watch it, now. I have no reservations calling it a masterpiece and a work of art. Even if you don't like anime, I still recommend this.


Akatsuki No Yona (well-executed and epic feudal-Asian fairytale, the only shoujo I watch, don't judge it just based on genre, it really is great and epic), Noein (obscure sci-fi horror-ish time travel story that is messed up but epic as heck), Code Geass (both Lelouch of the Rebellion and the spin-off Akito the Exiled, truly one of the most fabulously dramatic series ever), Log Horizon (fascinating, refreshingly intellectual take on the trapped-in-an-mmo trope), and maybe a few others.

Though it may have a lot of traits similar to most anime, Avatar is in fact a Western animation, making it just a cartoon. The same goes for shows such as Teen Titans. Avatar: The Last Airbender is still my favourite show of all time though. smilie

Also yeah, well kind of, my main focus is still in the Video Gaming section, but I may post here from time to time too. smilie

Much as I liked the original 80s series, I like Transformers Prime more.

Seen Log Horizon?

I never even bothered with SAO as apparently it's not very great past the first 14 episodes. Log Horizon starts out decent but gets pretty great, even if it isn't perfect (too much filler/slice-of-life, though they can lead into something good).

I have been very into Durarara and Kuroko no Basket lately, so those two. <3

But I also love Rurouni Kenshin, Noragami, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Attack on Titan.

Even though I feel AoT has a bit too much hype and popularity, it definitely deserves it more than Bleach, Fairy Tail, Naruto, etc. I'd rather have people think of AoT whenever anime is mentioned rather than ether of the 'big five' or even Sword Art Online. >__<
