Just wondering if you guys are readily seeing wave 3 figures in stores. I live in central NJ and hunt in the Princeton area...I went to a Target, Walmart, Toys R Us, GameStop, and Best Buy last weekend. Other than a Kaboom at one of the GameStop stores, I only found wave 3 figures at Best Buy. Although the TRU ordinarily has a large stock of Skylanders, no wave 3 figures in sight. I also noticed a few days later that the TRU had done away with the 2nd Skylanders display they have closer to the entrance of the store. I understand most of wave 3 can be purchased at Amazon, but am seriously confused as to why stock is so scarce at stores. It can't be distribution issues as I saw Love Potion Pop Fizz at both Best Buy and GameStop which proves newer figures are trickling in.

No wave 3 figures at my local Walmart or Target either. The only ones that I've found were the Light and Dark packs at Walmart, which I picked up both of.

I also know my dad got me Cobra Cadabra from the local GameStop, but I haven't been inside there myself lately to see what else they may have. They could be the only place in my town that has Wave 3.

Oh yeah, and I'm in upstate NY; near Albany.

I thought I heard the reason is because a delay in the shipments from the factory or something. Or maybe they just want to be like amiibo

Inventory season guys, just like every January ...

All shipments slow to the bare minimum so they can accurately count inventory for year end.

Oh, and the port strike is screwing up all kinds of things. That, combined with all the stores doing inventories, combined with Janurary/February just being a slow season for Toys & Games... Yeah, EOTWAWKI.

The pegs at one of the Targets I frequent had a bunch of wave 3 figures when I did my rounds yesterday morning. It looks like they were just re-stocked the night before. Unfortunately, there were no wave 3 traps to be found.

Would these things such as inventory or port strikes you guys are mentioning affect all figures? It doesn't explain why we're seeing Love Potion Pop Fizz in stores and we'll be seeing Nitro Head Rush at Target stores next week, but not much other wave 3 stuff. I just don't get it.

They can ship Wave 3 figures now, next month, next Christmas - it doesn't matter.
Love Potion Pop Fizz is very much Valentine's themed - they need to get him on the shelves now. Remember, he was originally dated for a Jan 15th release? And he just started showing up towards the end of last month?

Nitro Head Rush, Legendary Bush Whack, Jet Vac/Pet Vac buddy packs are similar - they're tied to exclusivity agreements with the large retailers - which include MABDs.

Anywhoo, Activision can only get so much shipped into stores right now (stores only ordering limited quantities and limited ability to move freight through the west coast ports) - so, they have to priorities, moving Wave 3 stuff which will sell just about the same no matter when they get it our, or something that's themed for the current holiday, or stuff that if they don't get it to the retailer by the agreed upon date, then they lose cash on the deal?

I am in Raleigh, NC and have seen tons of Wave 3 (including light and dark packs) at a couple Targets and the majority of wave 3 at the TRU.

I am in Hamburg, NY and my closest Target has tons of the cores and my local tru ( which I have not been to for weeks ) had tons of wave 3 trap masters last time I checked.

Cleveland OH here, most stores don't have any, but I've been to a few with a full display of Wave 3 guys.
Figured that I'd just wait it out for more deals and stuff to pick up the ones I need.

Murfreesboro, TN here...still no wave 3 trap shipments....seeing Love Potion Pop Fizz everywhere now and a small spattering of Wave 3 figures here an there...but not very many of them.

Mastermc, I live near Princeton. There's a Best Buy on Rt.18 in East Brunswick that had Cobra Cadabra and Wallop. There's a Gamestop off of Rt.9 near Sayreville that had Blastermind, Kaboom and Tuff Luck. The only ones I haven't seen in stores are Bat Spin and High Five, which I thought were wave 3.

I'm not trying to get wave 3 characters. I have most of them and can get them from Amazon if. I was actively looking. I was just pointing out that I really wasn't seeing them in many stores in my area...I was actually out and about covering multiple stores with a friend who was Amiibo hunting on the 2/1 release date and making a general Skylanders stock observation which I was quite surprised by. By the way Friendzie - I've been out hunting occasionally when in the East Brunswick and Freehold areas...nice to have some fellow local DarkSpyro hunters around

It's very possible that the variants (being in their own individual case assortment) were ready to go and possibly even already sitting in warehouses ready to be shipped when the time came. They also wouldn't affect the counts on the other Skylanders, since they would be a different SKU in their inventory. There has been more and more newer stuff trickling in as of late, so I think the issues are starting to dwindle and the flow should be starting up, again. My local Target rarely gets stuff in, and I saw a Tuff Luck, the other day, along with a bunch of traps that weren't water (although I don't keep up with trap waves, so I couldn't tell you what wave they were).

Well, I saw all three W3 trap masters today at Target for the first time. I also saw lots of Love Potion Pop Fizz at Walmart. There's still no traps other than water, but I already got all the elements from Amazon, so not concerned about that.

Around here I havent seen any of High Five or Bat Spin. Made me wonder if they were really wave 3 or not. The Dark and Light Packs I saw briefly at GameStop but I didn't want to pay full price, but I have seen them there or anywhere else since. WalMart had two pegs full of Love Potion Pop Fizz yesterday. We have the rest of wave 3 figures. I haven't noticed traps around here yet. (Stores around Tulsa, OK)

I'm checking stores on a regular basis, and I STILL have not seen any Wave 3 traps with any regularity. Heck....not at ALL. My quick reflexes before Christmas is the only reason why I have most of them.

It has been explained multiple times, Bat Spin and High Five are not Wave 3 in the USA. They are only in Wave 3 outside of the USA, notably Europe. It has been surmised to be related to the Frito-Lay contest and the fact it ran until after the Wave came out. The contents of the case were decided quite some time ago, so Bat Spin may have been considered for that contest since she is among the three that were named by the Frito Lay contest earlier.

I just got a new shipment of Skylanders from Activision for my store yesterday:

Wave 2 Trap Masters
Wave 2.5 Traps
Wave 1 Adventure Packs

So, it looks like the warehouses STILL aren't shipping Wave 3 as of a couple of days ago.

A few EBGames got some Wave 3 Trap Masters in Canada today.

I saw some Wave 3 traps at Walgreens of all places last week, after not seeing any since Target had some in December.

They had Water Winged Helmet, Undead Snake and Earth Totem.

Only one I can't find is Bat spin, anyone know what stores are likely to have her?

Plenty of stores ... in Europe. It's been mentioned many times that she is not out in the US until at least Wave 4.

In my nearest tesco, they have a heap load of tuff lucks. Elsewhere, I picked my the only Blastermind I could find and it was the last one which was in a different tesco store. Also I've noticed that both tesco stores have recently restocked on the trap triple packs and got several boxes of single traps. One had a high five and bat spin which with 3 for 2 worked out really cheap. As for toys r us, it looks like they haven't restocked since the beginning of wave 2 as all the shelves are empty and they have alot of shelves for skylanders with only about a 1/10 having figures on them.

I was at Best Buy in Fullerton, CA, yesterday and they had 4 of Kaos-Boom & Tuff Luck, as well as 5 Blasterminds.
Trap wise, they had a bit more than TRU & Target (those two only had Water traps).

Found the ENTIRE set of Wave 3 traps in CT Best Buy tonight. May have been a shipment from today, there were at least 2 more of each mold. So I would take this a sign that they'll be more readily available soon, as BB has been the store I've had least success with hunts (which is a shame, given the GCU discount).

Had the same experience at a best buy north of Seattle. Had the entire wave 3 set of traps, although very few of the fire and tech left.

here in europe we are still missing gear shift that you usa guys got already in wave1... its crap they have to mess up the waves like this.

We in the UK were given gearshift as an exclusive to smyths stores. If your in the UK maybe check your nearest store they may have some left.
