Different statistics. I think Nitro Krypt King is more powerful than the regular version. In his case, it allows me to have one version with power upgrade A and the other with power upgrade B.

I'm done with these variants for sure. They look more miss than hit and look forced to me.

Actually, they aren't. That's what makes the nitro variants so annoying to me. In Swap Force, they hold no difference at all. In this game, they have better attack stats but no extra speed at all... and of course they pick two incredibly slow lumbering characters for it too.

Nope. Those checker flags have looked lame since introduced last year, coupled with the fact that the name implies "speed", the logo implied "speed", but in reality...means zilch. I won't be supporting Nitro (target) or any other variants after this game...it's simply a lazy way to sell more "exclusives"...and they even horked the legendaries last year as they had no stat differences.

I like her colors more than the original so yup for me. The checkered flag I could do without. I'm speaking look-wise, not stat wise.

I agree, the idea would have worked 1000 times better on Freeze Blade and Magna Charge... If they only had different stats. Legendaries were the same only in SWAP Force. Can't confirm that, as I don't own any, but they should be stronger, in Trap Team. Apparently, TfB pays attentions to these details.

Yeah, except they can't be bothered with the complete variant name showing in game. See above. I'm guessing this is also the case for the others (I haven't bothered with any non-TT characters yet).
Not sure why the stats posted above is relevant. Different levels and one is wearing a hat. Based on path selection there may also be stat boosts. mantez: Can you reset your Nitro and let us see the OOB comparison please?

On details...VV had a DIFFERENT customized image (not box shots) on each game character, and showed the variant. I would argue they both have attention to detail, but it seems to be on different things

Thank you for taking "one for the team"...Cool...so basically we are swapping Armor with Health. Interesting...and again, nothing about "Nitro"/fast. Given how the harder difficulties make all of these stats essentially academic, I'm not sure it matters much. I wish they would release a "Hyper" series and really like double the speed of some of these Goliaths.

Ok, I agree, but, don't you also think actual different stats in-game are a bit more... influent, gameplay-wise, than a different art on the health bar?

In my mind, the developer has to go to one place to make a change for stats....for art...multiple people have to be involved, etc and it's for over 100 characters (including lightcore etc). It's way more work to do the art. Gameplay wise the stats are irrelevant. The critical/element "may" make a difference in heated boss battles, but either they don't take enough off per hit or in the case of nightmare you basically have to not get hit. Come to think of it...so is the health bar art. Meh. I see VV take on the hard tasks, sometimes avoiding the easy stuff. TfB I see more the opposite.

Yes, it surely takes more people to come up with original arts for the 100+ characters, variants included... But in-game stats, even if just a bit different, are still more influent than a picture on the health bar. They may or may not make the variant worth the cost or simply the purchasing. Regarding hard and easy tasks, developers should take care of simple, but evident stuffs, before getting involved in the harder, buy maybe more "hidden" tweaks. You cannot build a solid house, if it doesn't have tough foundations.

To me it seems like they put random stats on a dart board and just pick that way. It pissed me off that the swap force nitro's had the same stats as there regular counterpart, I am glad to see stat differences for the nitro's in trap team I like to get the regular version and the colored varients like gnarly tree Rex dark spyro and what have you, I look forword to adding the nitro head rush with my other nitro's
