I feel Enigma is going to be the wham-shell slash ninjini slash doom stone though!!

I really *hope* for Enigma rather than Blastermind, but I'm guessing we will absolutely get at least one of the magic TM.

Again, my hope would be to get Fling Kong and Trail Blazer... they'll probably be before too long but maybe not next wave. Not sure what everyone's basis for their guesses is but the only thing I can say we'll get for sure is a magic Trap Master.

They better release a magic TM soon! So my kids will shut up! Lol

The fun part of this speculation is that this game actually has more characters left for more balanced later waves believe it or not. In SSA 8 characters were left after the first two waves, in Giants 4 were left and in Swap Force 11 were left. For this game, there are 14 left, 18 with the unknown characters we all know. So they may or may not be more lenient with the releases this time around and keep in mind the numbers I calculated in the older games were for obtainable in some way and new characters only in terms of guys left to be released.

Not to mention any variants as well. But thank God for one thing........

Any ideas when wave 3 will be out? I'm going bonkers unable to complete most of my game. I only got 58% of TT done, with a bunch of Magic Gates eager to be opened.
Having a hard time finding the Wind gate in chapter 16.

Minis kind of took up the Lightcore mantle this year as an "alternative" version of other characters. We actually have 17 distinct characters remaining that are not playable yet if you count the new minis.

I'd expect Wave 3 either right before or right after Christmas if history is a good judge.

Wave 2 isn't even out for me so i think i'm getting wave 3 in january

when is wave 3 coming out anyways?

@Davidm4400 most likely December, I live in the US and got wave 3 for Swap Force at target on December 27th.
@Funnybone. I highly doubt wave 5 will be later than April. SSA wave 5 was in April, Giants wave 5 was in may, but only varients and a repose or 2 were in wave 5, every new character was out by wave 4, which was April. Swap Force was April, with the only figure in wave 5 that was new was Doom Stone. So my guess is April by the la test again and we will have everything. Though this time around we have the new elements, so who knows. What's left? Counting Gear Shift as already out because there are tons of her floating around in stores we have 8 Trap Masters, 10 Cores, 0 reposes, 4 mini packs, 1 buddy pack, 8 eon's elite (though those looks to be on their own course and not in official waves. Maybe they are doing it like that to help fill the gap times.), 8 varients, and the 2 action packs (which will also have a figure in them, we just don't know what yet, that's why I counted them separately). And I THINK 18 regular traps as well as all 3 light and dark traps, for a total of 24 traps left. 37 people (I subtracted 2 for 1 in each action pack) and 24 traps. I say that's doable in 3 waves. And yes, I just counted all that and wrote it all out. Don't know why, but I'm kinda glad I did. Puts how much is left in perspective. Anyway, that's my two cents.

The location of her soul gem is on an early level in the game.

So if they do it by Soul Gem, That means Spotlight will be in wave 3? (her soul gem is in level 1)

I think wave 3 will come out around November for most people but for me i'm probably getting it in January as i don't even have wave 2 yet

I've gotten to the point that whatever comes out, comes out. As long as I get one of the Magic Trap Masters, maybe either of the Light/Dark Trap Masters would be nice. Anything else is just icing on the cake. Plus the Light & Dark traps so I can finish trapping the six villains in Story Mode and do their quests.
When? I'm guessing mid to late November in time for Infinity 2.0's releases...give or take.
11/4 is the release date of infinity 2.0 wave 2, but 10/29 is the release date of Hulk before Sony loses the exclusive rights at the end of the month.

I'm probably getting wave 3 in January like usual. I NEED BLASTERMIND!! AND TUFF LUCK!!! (Tuff Luck is one of my fav Trap Masters) EEEEEEEEEH Anyway Gearshift is pretty much already out. So i wont count her in any waves as theres 20 at my toys r us pretty much

I agree with GhostRoaster617. Usually TRU would be the first ones to get anything new because of their deal with Activision.

If Walmart is getting wave 3 in that measn you'll get the new light and dark skylanders. (they are coming out in wave 3 )

It's not because someone on here said that his friends dad worked there and then he asked if he wanted to see something cool then he showed the light and dark skylanders. Then he made him sign something not to tell anyone about them then he said that they would be released early January for HIM which most likely means me too as usually i get wave 3 in January

Someone stated that TRU should get them first, but that is just usually wave 2, if I can remember correctly.. But from past experiences, after that, the other stores get a few timed exclusives like GameStop got hot dog pack before anyone else.. And then this year, best buy got MOM first for a week or so.. We can only let time tell!! But when I hear something solid I like to share and appreciate the same in return ;-)

I did. Activision has a deal with TRU and is usually the first ones to get any new Skylanders stuff. It's not guaranteed, but most of the time. Best Buy did get MoM, but I really would not consider them the first ones to get it because I literally had to look on their site while I was in the store. After finding it on their site, I had to ask an employee to see if they had. If ain't on the floor where no one knows about it, then no one knows that it's out.
The TRU in Buena Park had them on the floor along with the other items.
As for Walmart ( a massive joke), I see that as highly unlikely because their stock totally sucks. Hard to tell which they have more of - Infinity or Skylanders.

Why is the coolest/rarest always a magic? Giants: Ninjini, Swap Force: Trap Shadow, Trap team: Most likely Enigma. I'm hoping that the skylanders facebook page ment Wave 3 (most likely just wave 2, but I'm going to TRU just to be sure)

Actually, Ninjini is not the rarest of the Giants, unless it's Scarlet version. My local TRU has tons of them....regular, that is.
But it's possible that Wave 3 will be out in November to coincide with Infinity 2.0's release and in time for Black Friday deals....
