I'm also planning on making a Fire freeze blade. his skin would be dark red, his ice on head and arms will be orange and yellow, his suit and goggles awill be black, his chakram will be black, like obsidian, and his base will be painted to be like lava.

Picked up Wind-Up and Scorp (BOGOFree) so we can have the second upgrade path assigned, since there is no alternate version.

did a simple custom on stealth elf for my bf, even placed her back in the box after to trip him out

Most of these figures were spares coming from another starter pack and accidental spares from Christmas. The only spare I bought was Roller Brawl because I had a nice idea (Which was the human version) and Roller Brawl is good speed-running material in-game. I really like her.

I still like how you've done it.

I've been out of it - still haven't been out to hunt for Jade Fire Kracken. Work has taken over my spare time. I've got all these customs I am still planning on doing. grrr

Anyway just checking in glad that everyone is still customizing. Looking good everyone. Hopefully CTF and I can get back into the swing of things.

Well here is my next one...my first core Swap Force figure repaint....Scorp.


...and yes that Hot Pink is Fluorescent paint. got a single pack of Pop Thorn...and yes the paint job is way better(hence why i bought a second one)so im doing a repaint on my first one now...making him the Buttered Pop Thorn Variant.

What's the Scorp's name? I find "Poison Dash Scorp" a good name...

Well, after looking at custom figures since forever, I decided to do one of my own... Though I barely have money to get more figures than I need, I have an S1 Hex which pretty much became obsolete since I have an S2 which doesn't die in every battle in Nightmare mode. Based on a rather funny trivia from the Book of Elements: Life and Undead, I present you... Pretty In Pink Hex.



I have minimal experience in using acryllic paints but even with a few mistakes there and there it looks pretty good for a first attempt. I removed her skull since it didn't fit the theme, used some of the paint wipe techniques from Jin Saotome(which did some awesome custom Skylanders) so the pink base wouldn't look so tacky and even spruced up the Undead base a bit. As the description required, gave her the frills(it wasn't supposed to include a frill cape as well but it looks good either way) and the yellow polka dots... And not going to lie, she does look scarier with this than with her black dress.

Thanks! Maybe if during Trap Team I get more Skylanders with duplicate elements I'll try to paint some more of them. I'll be getting more acryllic paints for my art classes anyway.

Have an extra Series 1 Double Trouble that I'm thinking about painting. This is my first time doing this sort of thing, so does anyone have any suggestions?

Go back to page 29..and do what i did with Bouncer...use your paint proggy an print out a grayscale and color then with color pencils.

So, my fist attempt to costumize a Skylander. I'm trying to costumize my Mega Ram Spyro. I still had to add alot and cover the unpainted spots with a toothpic but here's a pic as how it is now:

Looking good NINJAsk11....the one main pointer i can give you is ....Slow Down...lol.
Don't be in such a rush to get them done...also putting 2 to 3 thin layers on makes it look better then one thick layer. Also if your realy into donig this invest in some smaller brushes...the "0" brushes, 5/0 and 10/0 do to these figures being so small.

Alright, thanks for posting the guide Bifrost! I'll look around online and maybe in local arts/crafts stores near my area.

I misread the title as "Show off your moves". I have clearly been reading about C̶a̶p̶t̶a̶i̶n̶ ̶F̶a̶l̶c̶o̶n̶'̶s̶ ̶g̶o̶l̶d̶e̶n̶ ̶n̶i̶p̶p̶l̶e̶s̶ Super Smash Bros. too much.

Like Bifrost i can't help you with the stores gillgrunt987...i. e. ...i don't live in or have ever been to Scotland. lol. (And yes Jin's is very good.)
But i can give you this...like i told NINJAsk11 get some small brushes....the "0" version. My set is 1, 0, 0/5, 0/10. Also Use Acrylic paint only.

Varnish paint would also be good, right? I haven't risked using some in my custom Hex, but even after two months she's still kinda sticky if I hold her for too long. Might be because I didn't mix the paints with water properly but can't be sure until I customize another figure.
