During the first week of release of trap team if you trade in your old portal you will get a free punch pop fizz, got it in an email today that also had the info about pre orders on elite spyro

Just looked at the email again it says free pop fizz but using the punch pop fizz picture so I don't know which one u get. Here's the link

Hmm..note that * at the end there. I can't find anything as to what exactly little details would warrant that on the image, but there's probably some sort of stipulation in trading in. Hopefully just a limited supply or something. Picture IS Punch Pop Fizz, but I suppose they can just give you a regular one or any other random figure.

This is awesome for me; as long as they dont want you to purchase the game at the same time, I have a few extra portals I'd love to just trade in.

Very odd. Again, they wait this long to release something like this in the States? Are the Jet-Vac single pack, Hot Dog/Spyro/Bash triple, and the Hex/Slam Bam/Shroomboom packs going to show up soon?

If that means with purchase of Starter Pack ....FAHHHGET ABOUT IT........i'm pretty determined to do my shopping on launch day at TRU. The release of Eon's Elite ( any of them ) would have bought me into Gamestop but since the elites arent slated to release until November.....theres no reason for me to go there. If its just a trade in , no purchase necessary.....that will def. get me into the store.

I wonder if it is punch pop or someone put the wromg one up. Either way i have a ton of portals thou i did recently toss 3 of them, would been fine with an army of pop fizz as long as i dont need to buy anything there.

Yeah i agree with UncleBob...but i dought it is Punch...would be nice, but not likely.(would be real nice if it is tho, for those that didn't want to buy the 3DS Starter pack to get him) I think they just put the wrong figure in the pic...note it says Pop Fizz in the text...not Punch Pop Fizz.

Now here's a question that bugs ME, Does that mean we can trade in ANY of our Previous Portals or is it the Swap Force one only?

I think it's any portal. Notice underneath the Swap Force portal is a green-rimmed portal from SSA.

it sure aint no need to get a new one, pop fizz are still in shops to buy. i think they just did produce to much of him. most people had enough with the blue one and didnt see the need for the red one...

I might have to consider this. We already have the S1 & S2 Pop Fizz and out of all the reposes for Trap Team, the one for Pop Fizz looks the best. But I'm pretty sure my son wants Punch Pop Fizz. We have plenty of portals lying around collecting dust (although I'd really like to create a display with them), but would it be possible that they will have another deal later? I know they usually offer a $10 off the game with portal trade-in, but I usually find better deals elsewhere.

The last 2 auctions to end for this guy in new condition (but loose from 3DS starter pack) went for 5 bucks & change on EBay. He used to go for around $20 before, but I guess the market is flooded and/or lesser demand for him. Still, it's a no brainer to trade in for an older portal that's been collecting dust. Figures also have more trade value than old portals.

At the very least, if he's just in a bag I can find someone else to give him to. I'd like to see him in a box though, and I have a feeling there's a good chance we could see that. Since SF came out, we've gotten a special Gill Grunt and a special Shroomboom in Giants boxes. Clearly they are still printing boxes from the Giants era, so they may as well leave the machines running long enough to shoot out a few PPF boxes to give us as well.

I hope it is regular Pop Fizz or I am going to be pissed on the boxed single I bought from Europe for $50, though not really surprised.

Whats the point of handing in an old portal and recieving a colour variant from the Giants game ? Free publicity ? Do they recycle portal parts or have a surplus of punch pop toys ?

GameStop will take any portal from you. I gave them my original SSA portal for PS3 and they gave me PPF for free ( I even got back $.02). They will take any portal from any game/system even DS and Bluetooth portals. I hope this helps out if anyone was wondering if it was limited to just the SF portal.

I took one of our Giants portals (since we had 2 of them) into GameStop. The guy at the register had no idea what I was talking about and said they don't do portal trade-ins. I kept telling him that there was a promo to trade in a portal for a figure (as it didn't seem that he would know what Punch Pop Fizz was). He then only said that they only took figures for trade-in. Finally, another employee pointed to the box of behind him and told him about the promo. He took the portal and went through the trade-in process. I got the Punch Pop Fizz and 2 cents on a gift card (for whatever reason).

For those interested, he doesn't come in a regular package. He comes wrapped in a little plastic bag with his card and stickers (much like the sidekicks were). I'd post a picture, but I've been having trouble uploading it.

For those interested, the guy who finally knew what the promo was said they were doing a trade-in for Disney Infinity portals. Not sure if they had a special DI figure or what. It seemed strange that they would take a DI portal for a Skylander figure.

I had a little help from my Brother earlier for when i traded in my SSA Wii Portal due to me and him in a hurry to get back home, though I'm a little disappointed on how Punch Pop Fizz doesn't exactly give you a Lv. Boost and Gold, but he does look nice next to his older brother next to me on my keyboard as I type (Contra Colors anyone?)

Traded my portal in for punch pop fizz, was a little disappointed that it was used and came in a plastic bag with the card and sticker, and like Darthfaker I too got 0.02 back!!!

Got three of them in Canada, some retailers require that you purchase the Starter Pack at the same time to get it, others don't care and just take your portal without questions.

I wish he was in packaging though but it's cool nonetheless.

Anyone know the trade in value of Punch Pop Fizz? Even if worth a buck or two, its better than nothing. I don't need a million of one character lol.

Interesting note on this one for the crazier collectors out there.

This isn't a used/repackaged figure. The instructions inside have the SWAP Force logo printed up on them. These were created sometime after SWAP Force launch and before Trap Team.

I hope my local game stop still has some. I don't have any extra portals so I'm debating on going to a second hand store and getting one just to trade in...

These seem similar to the figures of volcanic eruptor that bestbuy is giving out.

I haven't heard about best buy's giveaway. How do you get volcanic Eruptor from them?

My gamestop is always confused. It took like 10 minutes to preorder SkyTrap Team... and sunday they gave me a Punch pop fizz for free without portal traded!

Ya figure is best buy only, i bought two traps and got him for free. Figuring a regular skylander is worth about 9.99. I walked away with each trap for $1 in the end.
