Roofus Drives Me Crazy [CLOSED]

Every single time I go to play this game I always have to listen to Roofus tell me the same thing over and over before I can start and it can't be skipped. It's SO. ANNOYING. Does this bother anyone else?

1000% agree. Biggest flaw in the game next to unskippable scenes...two problems that could've been easily avoided.

It is (sort of) skippable. You can open the menu before you've finished listening to Rufus, and get to the levels from the menu. However, not everything can be accessed before lisening to him (e.g. The Power Pod and Survival Mode).

Yep, know the trick. It's like the movies between levels. Sorta skippable = not skippable in my book. Being held hostage for any length of time = not cool.

In regards to Rufus, yes he needs to die. It's the only real gripe I have with Swap Force. In regards to the cutscenes, it's actually loading the level and if you try to skip it says "Loading" so I can forgive that because the game is doing something will I'm watching. Rufus serves no purpose except to make me want to kick a puppy...which I'd never do of course.

Yes! I was looking forward to finishing the campaign so he would stop saying to do the next mission every time I load up the game, and then...

It is just... so unnecessary.

agreed Doofus is pretty lame.......now the gill grunt-ish character that "doesnt talk" nope, not me...all ya gotta do is tell me to be quiet......yup thats what i'll do , nope wont ever hear me say another word.....etc. is quite halarious especially in that mission where you gotta steer the rafts.....hysterical!

you would think they have learned now after ssa and sg... but no it got worse. its so easy to implement a skip function in the game and these developers dont do it. some of the youtubers that visit tfb and vv should ask them about this.

^ An unnessicary 30 seconds which adds up if you replay the game a lot, especially if you just want to play a short session.

This is the best solution. You actually can access Survival without listening to Rufus if you get into the pause menu before he starts talking. Still annoying when you want to visit Woodburrow to upgrade or something, but it's much better.

Look folks, Rufus is getting a bad rap here... You think he enjoys being so obnoxious? It's his job, the poor sap. Not to mention, his whole life he's been shedding tears for Woodburrow (smilie) and finally a massive army of Skylanders shows up; of course he's gonna wanna deliver his spiel to every single one of them. Perhaps he's hoping a Skylander would need a personal crier, and take him far, far away from this monotonous life in this one-tree town.

So give the man a break, wouldja?
