A Wii U version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure will release in Japan on July 12.

Originally released in October 2011 in other markets on Wii and 3DS, the Wii U version will feature off-TV play and use the GamePad for puzzle mini games.

The Wii, 3DS, and PS3 versions will also be releasing in Japan alongside the Wii U version.

What's the point when we already have the game? It's just the same game in Japanese.

The same reason some buy two of each collector - one to open and one to keep sealed. The same reason some buy reposes after reposes. The same reason people by chase-variants. "Hardcore Collectors." smilie^

Oh I didn't notice the link lol.
Although, the off-TV gameplay doesn't really make the game that much different.

So the game's not Region locked? And the text/Voice acting is still available in English in Options? [Debating replacing my Wii copy with this one if so.]

From what I understand all Wii U games are region locked.

I'm still unclear about the text/voice acting though. Seeing how it's a port it's very possible it has English but I have yet to find any confirmation about it.
