Nobody found this yet? There is a Frito-Lay Contest Website (Contest starting 7/7) with a Treasure Hunt Fire Bone Hot Dog.

So now hardcore collectors have to get 3 more Fire Bone Hot Dogs to complete their collection.

Skylanders® Fire Bone Hot Dog "Treasure Hunt" character with either a green, red, or purple-flamed bone. Each Skylanders® Fire Bone Hot Dog character will be holding a bone replica in its mouth. The color of the bone flame is at Sponsor's sole discretion; winner does not receive choice of color.

I wonder if 0ne of the three colors will be in limited quantities making it the most valuable one.

*Facepalm* How many times do I have to say it? It seems like every single contest someone says this same thing, no matter how many times it's answered . . . These contests are in America only because the rest of the world has a whole bunch of different laws regarding how they are run, or even if they are allowed. No, they couldn't "do it if they really wanted to," no it's not somehow "teh mozt unfair thing EVAH!!," and no it does not mean they somehow think people in the rest of the world don't matter. Neither Frito-Lay nor Activision have the power to override the sovereign laws of another nation, so if you really want contests like this in your country, get your laws changed.

This has to be the strangest contest prize yet.

Just a different colored bone? And the Special tag? That seems pretty.. eh.. bland.

I guess they ran out of ideas after Flocked Springtime Trigger Happy.

No, The figure is all-white, just the flames have color.

I'm pretty sure this is just one of those variants that doesn't matter in-game. I don't see why non-american citizens are whining. Nobody is forcing you to buy this figure, no you don't have to buy it, but you "want" to buy it. Now comes the part of "activision haets teh rest uv deh world!1!!1!1!". Frito Lay is a US company, of course they're only going to let US citizens participate.

So far, the only "whiny" posts I've noticed was from America, just not the -United States- of America. And it's understandable to be bothered by something saying "America", when it's limited to the US, which is roughly half the size of North America alone, and about one third/quarter of the combined landmasses of North and South America.

Phoenix Crystal is the best unreleased Crystal.
Skylanders Academy Season 2 was an improvement.
I don't know what to think of Skylanders' future.

Thank Heavens for that! I too never bought a smartphone and I certainly don't plan on it now. Glad they kept people like us in mind. Maybe Frito Lay isn't a total bust after all... maybe.

Now I just have to hope the bags actually show up in the stores, unlike the crap they did with Fright Rider.

Is the call in thing an automated thing or do I have to talk to someone? How was it for flocked?

Overall, I think they decided "hey ppl like hot dog lets just change the colors near his bone", BRilliant!

Red is normal? or do they mean a redder red instead of the orangish red it is now?


Green and Blue make no sense.....neither are even close to fire (molten colored like molten hotdog would been better)


Onwards to gain an army of hotdogs!!!

Yes, Dang you Frito Lay! You are so unreasonable when it comes to giving out free stuff. Why can't you do it more on my terms (which means a guarantee win for me, of course)? Why should I have to put forth any kind of effort in order to get free stuff from you? You should just already know I want free Skylanders and deliver them to my door. Hell, I shouldn't even have to put on pants to get the door. Just bring the free figure in and put it on my portal for me. Don't mind my lack of pants.

Actually... green and blue are real fire colors. To be exact, some of the hottest fires produce blue flames (which you can sometimes see on stove tops or even lighters) so i hope this 'purple' is a blueish purple, green flames come from burning copper sulfate.
The colors aren't just random, they are actually really cool!

Dude chill... It's not really free because you have to buy chips...

Seriously though I do think that they should do winnable contests but they should be free to enter. Also they should put the Hot Dogs in stores Post Contest.

I dont think you'll get in trouble either way, I mean that was the distributors fault for putting them out. Although, they *should* be out in stores since the promotion starts in just a few weeks.

They did update the App. Yesterday it only allowed you to take pictures with Hot Dog.
As you see in the previous post, they added other characters to take pictures with.

How in the hell could you get in "trouble" with Frito Lay or Activision??? You bought a product on the shelves, you paid for it at the counter....as far as i'm concerned as long as you arent mass producing similar "knock-off" bags and selling them at retail you can do with them as you well please. BTW good luck on duplicating the exact flavor of some of those tasty chips smilie
