We got a box in here, I'll check them again Sunday. I know it says above 6-16...but that's also the date of the big electronics dept reset so it's probably an estimate. Usually on a Sunday is when these can go out.

Got mine today. One of my regular customers picked it up for me when I was at work. He said there was only one on the floor, so they asked about more, and they had some in back. They ended up doing self checkout, and the barcode was locked, but were overridden. So excited to finally have this bad boy in hand!

Edit: This was at a Walmart in Canton, Ohio.

I just got mine at Walmart tonight! They had JUST gotten them in last night. It was register locked, but the manager didn't know why and just rang it up as miscellaneous skylander LOL!

But what I'm most excited about is that I'm getting the giant Springtime Trigger Happy Easter display when they take it down during the electronics remodel this week!

I found a case of them in walmart in Wellington fl yesterday, but they wouldn't sell it.

I spoke with the GM at the store today. She was trying to figure out why they were register locked and after a lot of research came back and said her system was showing a "ship out" date of 6/16 for Kickoff Countdown, Jade Fire Kraken, Wind Up, and Quickdraw Rattle Shake! She said that is the date it will be shipped to them, so it should be available 3-5 days after that.

Just FYI based on my Walmart's GM, but please don't badger me for proof cause there is none and you don't have to believe me.

I don't know anything about QuickDraw Rattle Shake, but I was told that Jade Fire Kraken will not be available for purchase until June 29. Who knows if that information is correct, though.

ILL CHECK THE 16H, worth a look. quickdraw hmm would be nice to get one for my wife and brother.

I think it is clear that Walmart just straight up dropped the ball on this one.

I don't mind Street Dates, it's a necessity when trying to run promotions, competitive fairness and sales flyers combined with how shipping works.

I don't mind dated items being put out on shelves early then being register locked. Employees make mistakes and register locks are a good way of making sure they have items when they advertise they will have them.

What stinks is that the only way they can even get a hint as to when it can be sold is hidden on a "Confidential" list and even that is in question as to whether that is just a ship date or a sale date. If I take an item to the register and it is locked the employee should be able to say "I'm sorry sir, but that item has a release date of XXX and it shouldn't have been put out, please come back then. We won't sell any prior to that, so don't worry but be early to make sure you get one!". Sure, some unreasonable people might cause a stink, but unreasonable people make stinks over all kinds of things. All they can do now is say "We can't sell it and don't know when we can, sorry.". Then people have to keep coming back over and over until the mystery day comes up at some unknown point in the future.

This is just bizarre to have dozens of these figures on the floor for a week or more and not be able to sell it. Anyone think they unlock this weekend? I'd like to wrap this game up.

I think so. Spoke to our vendor today and SHE had no idea either. Kickoff Countdown arrived and that one is also marked EFFDATE in the system, but let us sell it. I really have a gut feeling JFK will either be a Sunday release given the track record, just don't quote me on that.

neither kickoff or jade fire made it here to my walmart yet and speaking to an employee in how they get them in separate shipments than the normal and nothing came in and won't by those methods which skylanders normally come in until monday. so good times at mine. whoever said the 16th was accurate is most likely right in that's when they'll deliver them.

Last I saw, only about 1/4th of the KOCDs had arrived in stores.

I only saw Kickoff today. I might be able to take a quick look tomorrow.

Personally I'll be happy if we don't get any more. We're still stuck with Enchanted Star Strikes and Hoot Loops. I can't think of any other store that has such a hard time getting rid of variants like we do.

I picked up JFK today at Wal Mart. For me I go to check out in the auto care area. Those guys back there just ask me what the price was and they enter in the department code and type in SKYLANDER and the price. There have been a few occasions this has happened. Either that or hide a JFK somewhere in the store and go back and get it when it able to purchase.

Saw about 5 JFK's in Wally-World(Wal-mart) today.

I'm curious - Toys R Us - which is better - often gets the new stuff in before everyone else - and they often don't *officially* announce anything until the day before they go on sale through their Hot Toy Alert program (which many folks here have commented that they've been unable to sign up for). Is this really much different than this situation? The toys are in (most stores) and there's not been an official announcement... maybe not until the day before they go on sale?

I grabbed a random swapper and a JFK. Took them both to the self check out. Scanned random swapper, put JFK into bag, left behind random swapper.

Yeah just have patience, you'll get your bloomin' toy and if you're not sure if it can be sold, just call the store. Pulling a bait and switch or advocating such is a terrible idea.

My walmart in Missouri had 17 on the shelf and the one I bought rang up just fine.

If I go to TRU and try to buy something that is street dated, their register tells me the day it is going to be unlocked. It isn't that it is locked. It isn't that it is street dated. The boxes aren't dated with the date so how would employees know to not stock it? It is that it is showing up on shelves without any indication of when it is going to be available when people attempt to buy it, not to mention putting the employees in the position to have to explain the lack of communication as well as not having any idea of when they can tell the customer to come back and buy the item in their hands. That's simple customer courtesy. And it is completely different from Hot Toy Alerts.

Thing is, these boxes ARE dated... For Oct. 2013.

Besides, this isn't our first rodeo. I know that when you find Skylanders you need, and have them in your hands, you buy them. Or you risk never seeing them again.

I was unaware that register locks at TRU displayed the date of unlock to customers. Interesting.

Its on amazon if anyone cant wait for the unlocking at the register.

For $29. Someone on Ebay had it for I think $25.55 free shipping earlier but he blew through them pretty fast.

I got mine for 25 earlier today from amazon they went up in price throughout the day

Why pay $25 today when it will be retail price in another week or two? It's only a matter of time before the register lock at Walmart ends. Amazon should be selling them in the near future for $15. No need to pad the wallets of the 3rd party sellers.

Now this is getting aggravating. It's been 8 months and JFK still isn't released. They waited way too long.

I just got JFK at a Walmart in south central PA and he was not register locked.

Have any of you NJ collectors seen Jade Fire Kraken in stores yet? We have confirmation that he's made it to PA.

Bought one this morning at Walmart. No register lock. Maybe the register lock ended today.

Well as usual my TRU isn't participating in the skylanders event. They said that there's no skylanders being given out today and they're only doing that stupid Lego event. Also no JFK in my area, which means my impatience will make me get him off eBay. At this point I really don't care, because these employees are clueless.

Went to my local walmart today in Omaha, called them before heading up there they said they put out about a dozen or so. Went up there bought it without any issue

Bought mine in Montoursville, PA without a hitch! (And I found a Toothless piggy bank!)

Yeah the register lock is done, we got a whole clipstrip of them up next to KO Countdown.

just got mine at Fredericksburg, VA Walmart by Central Park. One of the employees got the box from the back along with a box of kickoff countdown. As everyone has said above, the lockout has lifted.

Bought mine in Charlotte, NC. No restrictions.

Still can't find JFK in North Alabama.

I got 3 today Dayton, Walmart they had 12..... I am so done and getting ready for Trap Team......

Picked up my Jade Fire Kraken today with no issues. Glad to see so many people are getting them one, just fine without any help.

Aside from the two packaging variations I want, that's it for the known SWAP Force figures.
