Gamestop is somewhat of a scalper chain itself. They once tried to sell Xenoblade Chronicles alone for more than $100 bucks, just because it was rare.

Yeah but now it's not... 100$ dark bundle + 2 ultra rare (300$ each on Ebay) for 130$... I want 1 but it does not order to Canada... If someone has a ''middleman'' that order from US to Canada, I would be so happy and would order that right now!

The fact that they were including these in a bundle makes me wonder if those two "chase" variants might get a retail release sometime in the future, kinda like GITD Sonic Boom or Pumpkin Eye Brawl.

Maybe it means they'll get more inventory in the future. And it was just really limited for this first listing of the product cause of how fast it sold? I'll keep my eye on the site. But I'm really confused why when I added it to my cart it came up as the pre-order for Gearshift instead.... that ticked me off cause it was in stock while it was glitching.

It wasnt here for 1 night only. I could have sworn I've seen that for the past week, just never bothered telling you guys here about it.....

Any chance these are sold in store too?

They've done several similar bundles in the past. One with Clear Cynder, one with Wham Shell, one with the Gold figures, and one with Glow in the dark Warnado. They all have lasted longer, though, due to the extremely high price tags they carried.

It's bundles like this that prove how Gamestop really works. The stores, themselves, don't get a full case of figures. The company goes through the case assortments before they ship to the store and pull out any of the chase variants. Then they can sell them in these bundles. Usually they charge an outrageous fortune for them. I guess if you consider the dark bundle is about $100 retail, then they are surprisingly selling these at retail price instead of the inflated prices they normally do. I still couldn't afford $132. Although, if you didn't want the chase variants, you could probably flip them and get a cheap (if not free) dark starter set I wouldn't doubt that's what some people did. Look for a few more of these chase variants to pop up on eBay, soon.

Nope. Gamestop did the exact same thing during SSA, pulling out the chase variants and selling them either through bundles or through their rewards things.
I believe someone who worked at a Gamestop said the boxes they get are picked through already/not the normal wave boxes. Dunno if they still do that or not, but this gives me indication that they are.

The only chase figures they ever sold (on their own, not in a bundle) were Glitter Sprocket, Glitter Sonic Boom, and GITD Warnado (the infamous GREEN Warnado). They all were available once, for a very short time (The Glitter figures came on at around 11-12PM EST and Warnado came on during the week at 12:00-1:00 PM).

Oh i didn't even know they had the glitter guys haha. But yeah the bundles were the ones I was talking about lol



There might have been one more but these are the two i remember. In their Rewards thing, they had Silver Dino-Rang and...I think two others. Those ones appeared to be like one only though, as one of them mentioned specifically the blister was bent.

I wonder if there's still a thread about them. I could have sworn someone mentioned that they were taking the variants out of boxes for these things.

I guess it was just speculation but still...I still feel kinda slimy thinking that they're not even letting the chase figures get to the shelves. Guess that's just me though lol

If people bought that bundle it wasn't worth it. My store has 5 cases on the floor of the dark edition 89.99. With all the sales going on you can buy any 2 swappers you want and still come out cheaper than this bundle if it's just the dark ed. And 2 swappers

It was worth it if you intend to sell the figures or are into collecting chases. Chase variants command a pretty penny, not as much as they once did (and these are not as uncommon), but they are still up there.

People find em in pairs so I wouldn't be suprised!

The metallic variants have been showing up in stores at a remarkable rate, I've heard of places that got more than one - which is HIGHLY unusual (even though I've never seen one personally). Given Gamestop skims their figures for these bundles, they probably got a lot more than usual therefore how long it is lasting.

At least they aren't really gouging for this like they have in the past. It's barely more than retail for the Dark Edition plus two regular Swappers. That isn't bad, just they are trying to clear up old stock on the Dark Edition (which some might still need). If you are a collector, everything in that pack is of value - where as previously you had to get a bunch of three packs and super common figures to get ONE chase at an inflated rate.

Thing is, I know GS skims their cases but I found a green Rip Tide at my local GS. Employee there said they got in 2 of them at the same time.

Says platform wii u and the wii u icon is at the end of the title. I guess we will see.

I wonder how long it'll last this time... I'm kinda worried they're getting stock from the manufacturer for this one and it'll become so common it won't be worth the price tag for those two figures I just bought LOL.
