Talked to a very reliable source at one of the many Targets I hunt here in the DC Metro Area. He told me that Jade Fire Kraken will be in showing up in stores around July 17-20th.

Not to get in the middle of an argument, but I'm much more apt to believe Jade Fire Kraken IS a Target exclusive, because Jade Flashwing was a Target exclusive. I haven't seen any Legendaries outside of Toys 'R Us, so why should we expect to see any Jades outside of Target?

I just got one in the Netherlands, there werent allot though. (Intertoys, not listed on website)
Legendaries are a pain only an online webshop sells them but mehh...

UncleBob is insinuating that he knows that Jade Fire Kraken will be available elsewhere and has information pertaining to it which he chooses to not share. He made a similar comment on a previous Jade Fire Kraken thread, and given the his history, I'd say that means it's going to also be at Walmart as well. He really wants us to know he knows, hence the hints but people weren't nice enough to him last time, so he is keeping it to himself. That's his prerogative.

Hate going into the stores an seeing, for example....half a million Shroomboom's and so few of the others...or none of them *grrrrrrr*. And before all of you spout off im hate'in on Shroomboom, i have nothing against Shroomboom..i even did a repaint of him....

I love shroomboom thou he's actually gone here in NY, i may see 1 eevry few stores but not likea few months ago. Flashwing is also gone (giants)

I personally like Shroomboom, and that's a nice custom of him. Psychedelic Shroomboom has a nice ring to it. I might go with some latex dye on the slingshot bands (maybe blue to match the wacky color scheme?) to make it pop if you've ever messed with that stuff. As I understand it's basically brush it on then let it soak in.

Maybe he meant June 17th-20th?

I do not know the dates seem weird either way. I would think it would june 15th to 21 or july 13 to 19 range as Target sales and such start on sunday.

Ya but he said he "didnt" get it at target. It can come out mid week no reason it cant unless it's tied to an ad.

Went to walmart in Oakland, Ca today and they had about 30 jade fire krakens on the shelf. An employee said they just put them out. Sorry didnt get pics but i will see if they have any when i go back.

Oh boy, THIS type of release again.. Walmart gets it early, but it starts popping up in Cali and slllooowwwllyy inches it's way across the US.

I've held off on buying fire kraken solely so I could get the first-time-playing feeling with the jade one. I agree with defpally, I hope this is in tru's event, if the event happens at all.

Agreed. It was horrible with Scratch, Fryno, and the two S2s.

Checked my local Walmart in Southeastern Michigan. No luck with Jade Fire Kraken, but they did have 10 boxes of Wave 8 from Spyro's Adventure. Each box had one each of Warnado, Dino Rang, Hex, Lightning Rod, Camo, and Zook.

Amen. I've technically only seen two enchanted star strikes. OTOH, I don't go to Wally World on purpose. It's like walking into a bar fight expecting to walk away unscathed.

I had 6 in hand from a Northern California Walmart at 730 am today. I was getting the extras for members of my Facebook group to be sold at cost.

At the checkout line they rang up as "do not sell". Even though the release date said 6/6/14 in their computers. Was completely denied any form of sale.

Such garbage.

Same thing happened to me. The Otay Ranch Wal-Mart in San Diego, CA had probably ten out on the shelves. I grabbed two of them, brought them up to check out, and the register prevented the sale. The employees were nice about it and talked to the manager about possibly overriding the transaction, but they weren't able to do it. They thought it might be a recall, but that's what they usually figure when it comes down to this kind of thing.

Needless to say, I left empty-handed and disappointed.

On a brighter note, I went to the nearby Target and happened to find a single Kickoff Countdown on a rack in the toy section. The cardboard had been pulled from the plastic bubble, and when I pointed it out while I was buying it (for a possible discount), the employee said they don't usually discount for damaged packaging as long as the figure still works. But then he said he was a fellow collector and gave me a 10% discount. What a nice guy!

FYI - Overriding a register lockout is termination for said employee under any circumstances.

But here ya go - folks in this thread were just complaining about a "shelve 'em as you get them" release. Now, everyone gets to wait! Congrats!
