I'm not really into the customs business, but..

I bought an extra Fryno (Buy 2, get 1 free sale), and I plan on making a "Super Heated Fryno," with metallic red/orange details.

Can someone give tips on how to create/buy shiny metallic red/orange paint?

^I found mine on an art store

i made a Swap Force steve from minecraft- i'll get pics later

so i took apart my extra rattle shake to make a custom swapping steve from minecraft- here's how i did it

first i took steve and pulled him in half and filed down the peg on his lower half.

then i pryed open rattle shake and got the magnets out.



i then superglued the legs to the sky iron shield base, then did many tests-

but here he is!






here we have diamond buckler and wash steve

who do you want to see swapped with steve?

I will be impressed when you patch the figure into the game

This should be in custom figures, rather than it's own topic.

I think the sky lander kids did something similar but with core characters

You should've put the Magnet into Steve, not outside.

i converted swappin' steve into swappin' slam bam!

Made this today with my brand new paint markers! ^_^ First custom too.

He looks so ebil!!! Great job, especially for your first time. Lol his teeth look like they're dripping with blood, I wonder who's? O.o

I'm currently experimenting with LightCore Hex. I'm removing the black paint from her dress.

Her dress is completely clear red underneath, so I broke out the acetone/turpentine, and got to work.

Here she is so far, she still needs some work to remove the paint, as her chest/neck areas have a load of paint still on them:







I'll post another batch of pics when she's finished/almost finished.

And yeah... I tried taking off some paint from the Undead base, but it melted the plastic..

Well, this thread is dying.

Anyone have any custom legendaries?

I'm eagerly awaiting STT to see what custom traps people'll come up with.

Yes many have done there own legendaries.....scrool back thru the pages. Heres mine i did a long time ago...forgot what page its own tho... ...lol.

my third one complete! I wish she was as easy as I thought she would be, just paint her black and add bones. But I had to smoothen her whole texture to give it that costume look! so took a day longer than expected, but presenting my skeletal Cynder!

Dark Rattle Shake! I've been meaning to touch up the silver, but doubt I'll ever get around to it. Here he is...

That's epic CTF! The pupil seems a bit small a dilated, but that may just be me.

Looks good bro! And yes isaac the pupils on on him and his snake are a bit small...but who cares lol ...still looks cool

Yeah i know what your talking about ...i.e. my Epic Ultra Rattle Shake....anyways here is my next one.

Remember reading something about wanting a step by step on how we do theses....so here it is.(well how i do it.. )
First i take a pic of said Skylander. Go in the paint proggy an grayscale it...i.e. turn it to black an white. Copy an paste it 3 more times, then print it out. Use my color pencils to draft different ideas and to have a visual reference.

As you can see i chose the black one..(altho the green one dose look kinda cool ..also anybody that wants to use any of the other color schemes...knock yourself out ) And yes the final figure is a bit different then the draft it happens...lol.

And in the begining...*cough* ...sorry... just had to.
Stage 1:

Started with the Pearlized Blue, used a flat clear on the eyes so the light would disperse better when he is sitting on the portal.

Stage 2:

Now added the Pearlized Black. Painted the finger gun barrels and the part below the antenna on his helmet Silver.

Stage 3:

Painted all the black parts(arms an neck) Silver, and the gear on the chest an back Copper.

Stage 4:

Painted the arm pads, spring and the part below the antenna Gold.

Stage 5:


Final touches...the lighting bolts, vent plats on side of body an the bolt heads Silver. Spiks on shoulder pads and the rivets around the arm pads Copper.
And yes ...freehanding those lighting bolts was a real pain in the @$$.

So here he is...Ebonite Bouncer (Ebonite Steel being a speical alloy that is hard as diamonds, increasing his armor stats by 20 points)




Thinking about painting the ball on top of his antenna the Pearlized Blue...what do you guys think?

Well don't feel that way...you use what you feel comfortable with...your not the only one that uses markers.
Also im guessing nobody likes my new repaint Ebonite Bouncer ...quit a few days and no responce about it.

If you feel like a loser because you do something you enjoy your point of view is just screwed up. Always know this don't sell yourself short on the things you can do! It will make you never try to succeed at bigger and better things. There is no try it's do or do not! It's up to you to be happy with yourself! Take your simple paints and tooth pick skills and move up to small brushes and better paint's you can do it man! When you don't try you might as well just quit.........Never feel sorry for yourself because that will get you no where real fast!
