OK, so I was watching an LP of Spyro 3, and in the Nancy the Skater minigame in Icy Peak, the egg you get when you complete the minigame is named Cerny. Is this a reference Cerny Games, who worked on in some capacity on Spyro 2. Don't believe me? Look at the back of the U.S version of the game.

I read somewhere that some of the dragons are named after staff who worked on the game and you're right, Cerny the dragon is named after Cerny Games. Mark Cerny to be exact.

Mark Cerny was an Executive Producer for the Spyro games. He was a part of Universal Studios and worked closely with both Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games. He's been credited in their games through the PS3 era. Given all the Dan Johnson references in Insomniac's titles, it doesn't surprise me. Cerny essentially gave the studio its big break. <.<

Spyro 3's Dragon names are pretty referential and there are even references to Jason Rubin and Andy Gavin from Naughty Dog in it! There are a few others named after staff members at Insomniac, but I can't be arsed to remember 150 Dragon Names!
Edit: What the crap? That boxart is odd... See the picture in Scorch(The desert one)? Spyro is Supercharging. Scorch doesn't have any place in the game where you supercharge... H@X?! Or Beta removed feature? |

^ I've played RR/GTG since 2000, and that still puzzles me to this day Slvr99.

The dragons from Spyro 1, the baby dragons from Spyro 3, and the dragonflies from Spyro 4 are all named after the staff.

And Spyro 4's Dragonfly names are ridiculous since most of the Check Six/Equinoxe staff was French, Spanish, or Chinese... "Hey, It's Jean-Marc!" "Hey, It's Yojimbo!" "Hey, It's Krishnamurti!"
Most of the names don't fit a baby Dragonfly... |

Yes. That's the back of Spyro 2. He just put it up to show the name Cerny Games is involved with the Spyro series. |

Yep. But I think that makes the Dragonflies' names hilarious. (in a good way.)
