So the red dune bug is an actual thing...cool! Now that just makes me think of a skylander-shaped jawbreaker, dipped in an m&m style candy coating.

The way that was written suggests to me that Fryno and Punk Shock are supposed to be part of the "current" incoming release wave, and then there's 5 other figures set for later. But then they mention Springtime Trigger Happy and "two more spring-slated skylanders" in the special boxes as if they weren't Fryno and Punk Shock. Either they don't know about the pre-order pics on bestbuy, or they're trying to be vague on purpose. It's odd to be vague about something that most of the fandom already knows though.

Also, lol at Skylanderdad in that NY video. He sounds like he ate candy just before filming.

so the easter egg skyalanders only at bestbuy bumer is the least place i visit

I don't know if they're only at bestbuy. We've only seen a pre-order there. They could be everywhere for all we know, so don't lose hope so soon!

Well, we still don't know if they're only going to be released in the special packaging either. They could be released in a regular package, and then done up special for Easter later on. I get the feeling Activision would probably do both styles, and they should be released everywhere. Whether they actually do this is still up in the air though. We can hope and speculate, but it's Activision that's running the show.

Wait, there are new Skylanders?

They're not "new", but they are new to stores, I think next month. We've known Freeze Blade since February last year and Trap Shadow since August.

In my area LC Hex's are major shelf warmers, I dont think anyone will have trouble finding him after the first few days of skylanders 4, if he does become the last one to come out. I think it's dumb to do that, who's gonna buy skylanders they could've gotten the year before when there's new cooler toys out?

Didn't they have LC Hex available when Swap Force came out, without having to pre-order too? I thought I'd seen her on store pegs at the time. Hmmmm...

@flashwingftw I suspect they made her part of a special deal because so many people thought: "But I have Hex, why get an LC version?". We know the difference between LCs and the regular versions, but they had to make the packaging different and place indicators for others to see. So I wouldn't be surprised if they make the last fig part of a special or freebie.

Tell Me that isn't a confirmed Skylanders 4 set... They cannot ruin a such beautiful franchise with a cheap racing game! If the karts are the new mechanic, I might consider skipping it, this time...
However, in the upper left corner of the picture, there is some kind of slogan. "...ld! Spin! Smash!".
What could it mean?

Huh... They all have a translucent weapon(s). Something just for the Mega Blocks figures, or something to do with the game too?

So, we've got a character that looks like a blue Dino-Rang (notice what he's holding in his left hand) with a sword. Then possibly an earth character with two hammers. The lion with a shield, who could be a life character. Then finally what looks like a mummy with a sword and a projectile - notice how he's got very ancient Egyptian looking head ware and is white around the exposed parts of his arms.

So, it may be called Skylanders: Warriors? Something like that.

Hmm... You've got me thinking. These weapons are all translucent, their colour represents the element of their owner right? The how come the mummy-looking one (the 4th one) has one grey weapon (for undead) and one blue weapon?

You could say "oh, well, someone just switched around his weapon with a blue one" but I can't help but feel that this next game will focus on interchangeable weapons. Think about it, each of these new type of Skylanders comes with two weapons. These weapons can be given to another character - and they carry the upgrades that weapon has with them, rather than the characters themselves having upgrades.

Let's say each character had 2 weapons and there were 16 of these characters, so you've got 32 weapons. You make these 32 weapons exclusive to these characters... And then you release another 32 weapons in the form of blind bags, and you sell them for $2 each. They're such a cheap buy - that people will think "sod it, why not" and buy one anyway.

So, doing the maths... If each character required 2 weapons to be used in game, every character has 4096 possible combinations of weapons to use and then in 16 characters there would be 65536 different combinations. Which, quite frankly, makes the Swap combination of 256 look pathetic.

Plus translucent weapons. This may be it.

It looks like that there may have to do something with "Elemental Bazookas" this time around. Either that, or they're for MEGA Bloks only.


Yep, looks like there might be weapon swapping this time around. That's some interesting technology.

i think we cracked it.

so we've got

the mummy dude (undead, judging by his sword)
the reptilian guy (water, judging by his weapon, may be named ranger)
the guy with the hammers (tech, judging by weapons)
and the lion (fire, weapon wise again)

i now know the perfect name for the lion.

The mummy guy is definitely Undead. He was the scrapped Undead Giant before Eye-Brawl came along.


And Ranger might just be a placeholder name, just like Alchemist was Pop Fizz's original name.

I think that the characters are called ranger because a Ranger is a multitalented person. Look at the karts, they say Ranger Vehicles.

i think our name could be Skylanders: Rangers

One other thing; in the cart, Trigger Happy has one gun that looks like Jet-Vac's, although it could be a vehicle weapon.


I expect the name of the game to be either Crystal Energy or Crystal Rangers.
