I've been thinking, and I feel that maybe the 4th game might be announced after the naming contest is over. I can just see the developers at interviews saying "Here we have these 3 skylanders that fans actually got to name!" and so on.... Anyone think this might happen?

It sort of seems like they're waiting for Disney Infinity's new game. Disney has some huge properties in their arsenal that could flip all the Skylander hype into WHOA DISNEY INFINITY HAS STAR WARS NOW!!1

My guess would be E3, something like PAX East might not get as much attention.

Probably lots of reasons, I don't think the naming contest is one though. Quite possible they just aren't ready to show anything yet. They might need even have the final title determined. All sorts of possibilities.
