Is it just me, or has Activision seriously dropped the ball with the release of the characters for this game? It has been over three weeks since they have shipped my store any characters. I'm not talking about just new characters, I'm talking about any characters. They haven't even shipped us any 3-pack characters since the first shipment back in October. We haven't received a full wave except for the first wave. We got one box of wave 3 lightcores early in January. ONE FREAKING BOX!!! It's just been brutal. You think with a couple games under their belt they would get better at this not worse.

It takes about 2 months for a new wave to come out.

I think he's talking about the fact that NO stock has been updated at his store.

You may want to contact the store manager. Maybe someone forgot to re-order.

I agree. The lack of inventory is likely due to the store, not Activision.

But I think the stores are not the ones that ask for more stock, it is Activision who decides. That is what every person told me when I asked when there will be more stock of Skylanders in store.

My Gamestop has only Wave 1. Never seen the Wave 2 guys there except for Scorp, Riptide, and the reposes.

Does Activision ship directly to the retail locations; or do they ship to retailer warehouses, which is then distributed by the respective retailers?

There are 4 Walmarts in my town and I visit each one throughout the month. The one on the north end of town keeps restocking while the others still look like they did back at Christmas time. Target stays filled up as does the toysrus. Yet the Gamestops are just now getting Wave 3 on the racks. If its the retailers responsibility to reorder new stock; some of them are slipping. Yet as a consumer if the demand is not in the particular store; then it won't be supplied.

Can't wait for the final wave to be released......

I was thinking that the game is more popular this time around because the new figures actually look cool this time. But I'm totally on the same page. My store are either bare pegs, or wave 1 only. I saw wave 2 briefly and stores are getting small amounts of wave 2. But nothing to write home about. And wave 3 I was lucky enough to see at toys r us one day. But only 4 of the guys. Target NEVER has stock. Till 2 days ago they had more wave 1, and the camo battle pack. Only 1 and I got it. I just dont understand why its taking so long for me to see the swappers and the new level...I feel like were getting gipped this time around. Even an employee at toys r us said they just arent getting anything.

That's an interesting model...so the stores HAVE to take what Activision ships it, and pays for it? Sounds like a retailer's nightmare to me...The other option is that the major retailers probably have stock shipped from ITS distribution centers, who in turn get it from Activision. It's possible Activision has shorted them stock and/or is running behind.

In all honestly Jan / early Feb usually looks light on the shelf due to possible year end inventorying...

Stores don't have the ability to order and everything is shipped directly from Activision. I'm sure that there is some sort of arrangement between the head office and Activision but at store level we have no control what so ever when it comes to Skylanders.

This is how hunting in my area has been since Giants. We had lots of restock during SA, and Skylanders is pretty popular here, so I'm not sure why we aren't getting more stock/restocks. Maybe it's just my imagination, though.

Thankfully, things seem to be getting slowly better in my area at least, because I have seen my EB Games restocking the first half of the Wave 3 figures! However, I don't know about other stores in my area.

They're trying to make the game have more playability by having you wait till they release the figure you want. Then when you do have the figure you play it in the game and then repeat the process.
