What stat do you focus on for Legendary Treasure displays? [CLOSED]

I guess in general I am asking what stat do you prefer the most, or for the most part do you prefer to keep them well rounded.

I am guessing HP is the best because I can't think of a way there would be diminishing returns, but if there are none for armor I could see 10-20% reduction on each hit outweighing HP very quickly.

Anyone know a lot about these stats or can refer me to a couple of decent sources? The things I keep finding are for the older games

Thanks

First play through wanting to get 3 stars with no lives lost I focused 100% on armour. I would change that now for time attack but I do like my Skylanders to be able to take a few hits without dying.

While leveling up my Skylanders until they reach 20, I choose the ones with XP boosts. Then I select all that raise their health and critical hits for more damage on enemies.

Speedspeedspeedspeed... I add anything that helps me finish Quests, levelling, whatever faster

I currently have a setup which gives me elemental power boosts so I can finish Elementalist faster on all my Skylanders (I can get most done in one shot now)
I also have the charm which gives you 10% experience so I can level up faster.
And the 1% speed charm.

In Nightmare you usually die in 1-3 hits and get accustomed to that, so, I don't really need any armor or attack boosts. smilie There's plenty of food everywhere anyway.

Agreed with this! I have both speed treasures on, wish I had more. Plus that crappy +1 charm. I need more speed for these guys, some are just ridiculously slow.

Windup is absolutely all smiles on speed. Funny...all of the "new" guys have reasonable speeds...but my old returning guys---PAINFUL. Cue in complaining about lost time on doing Giants Quests.... smilie

I like to use luck, gold and exp.

The gold is good for the sky diamond cheat+the luck gets you somewhat more money.

Then exp is just to level them.Once I finish upgrading them all I will probably switch gold and luck out for speed, defence and more defence.(I has two money treasures. Also just so I can use one skylander and survive the whole level on hard and nightmare)

Speed and XP. The rest is just fluff since the difficulty adjusts it for you. There ironically isn't enough of these...and the few are paltry. Irritated about that fact.

Not sure how we quantify armor and luck. Seems worthless to me since there doesn't appear to be feedback that a hit was blocked like in Giants...and I don't know how luck has ever been communicated to the player. Plus the difficulty adjusts it accordingly.

As an aside...RANGED armor, Cyclops Armor etc...there's a lot of crazy stat changes here that doesn't seem easily understood as a benefit to the player. If that's the case, WHY DID THEY BOTHER?

Speed, Crit % and Armor. Elemental bonuses aren't really a concern so I don't really use them. Gold isn't an issue with the Sky Diamond and XP comes quick enough.

Stupid question: I haven't found a way to simply REMOVE a legendary treasure....is there? All I've seen is the ability to REPLACE one.

I don't know about removing a piece but to answer your question about armor in SF.

3 armor = 1% mitigation

30 armor = 10%

so an attack that does 100dmg with 30 armor does 90 dmg instead. It is constant

In the old games armor didn't mean what armor means in most games. In SSA and Giants Armor = chance to avoid dmg. Most games call it a dodge or avoidance.

I actually prefer the version that this games has even though it is without the visual cue.

now the info I provided was from a few sources i read a while back. If any of it is wrong, I'd love to hear about it because I have not in game tested it myself. Though it does seem pretty cut and dry.

It's what made me stop focusing on speed so much in this game. For me speed is awesome, but the speed STAT is deceptive vs it's practical value. (Again just me) I almost and ever just walking in the game. I am using teleport, using a leap, using a dash, using a roll, whatever to get from point A to point B, or enemy A to enemy B

So in that regard I am almost never actually use the speed stat cept maybe in wood borrow.

Good information...I'll tinker around and see if I can confirm this on my own. I definitely agree that a concrete damage reduction is definitely good, although at higher difficulty I don't think it will make much difference when regardless 2 or 3 hits and you're done. What you say makes sense since you apparently STILL incur damage from every hit...I assumed we inherited the SSA/SG armor model.

Agreed on speed...and we talked that up to death in a Giants thread. Still...I have a need for speed smilie

I pick anything but HP as it doesn't matter on Nightmare Mode. Your gonna die if you get hit 5 times or so even if you do have HP ones.

Crit, crit multiplier, elemental power, speed.

xp - nightmare gives good exp so no issue leveling - no point
Gold - most chars sit on 50k plus that I don't know how till use - no point
Armor and hp - seems pointless in nightmare. Dodge or die.

Going for dmg and it's nice to see all the 85 hits delt by voodoods axe and combos at 110+. It's kill or be killed smilie

I think that's a good point. Depending on difficulty and "where" you are in game will depend on what you use. XP/Gold makes sense earlier in the experience/playthroughs...on nightmare nothing makes sense except critical hit.

It changes depending on what I am doing.

As a rule, I agree with most folks here, HP just doesn't make sense to use, on nightmare or frankly any difficulty. I lean towards standard "Armor" items over the "melee" or "ranged" versions of those, but have always wondered how well once could min/max with them.

I typically try to keep speed and luck up at all times. Not 100% sure what luck does outside of the occasional gold "crit", but still keeping it.

Crit % chance over multiplier, as I'd rather get 2 crits for 100% than 1 crit for 150% sort of mindset.

Elemental stuff to get each 'lander's elementalis rank.

Pick-up Range actually is VERY useful for time attack. Some of the 20 second freezes are easier to grab from a distance, without having to go out of your way to get them.

I really like what you guys have said about changing the options up depending on the difficulty and ect. Those are things I had not considered, but make a lot of sense. This game would benefit greatly from a crafting type system for this part to dial in for your own style of gameplay.
