Yup, all the upgrades and other info are stored on the figure, so if you get the Wii U version your characters will still have their information. Not to mention, the Wii portal should work with Wii U as well, so you can just get the disk and be all set.

I think it would be wise for Activision to actually promote a migration path from the Wii by offering both incentives / discounts and swap outs for disks etc. It would help those stay loyal on the franchise while the migration to newer platforms happen. Fund the migration path now would mean more concrete future sales and possibly being able to avoid any development on the Wii.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

You could see if anyone on the forum is willing to part with one, but don't spam on the boards, as that is against the forum rules...

They don't sell the disc separate. As the series continues I see why they don't for any of them at this point.

You may want to check gamestops, amazon or even ebay for such things as you might get it cheaper that way depending on your luck. Finding the game disk seperate should not be that hard

Taking that last ride through the sunset on skylanders. Hopefully a return of more classic spyro gameplay in the horizon. |

You might also be able to find one on Craigslist in your area. I've seen some listings for disc only as well as Wii U starter packs (opened and unopened) for relatively cheap.

you can use the wii disc with your wii u. the graphics will be slightly better. I know because until recently, me and my brother did that for a couple of weeks.

Yeah but the Wii version is horrible, it's missing tons of stuff that's in the other systems games, definitely get the Wii U version. eBay also sells just the game.

Whilst I would agree that getting a Wii U disc would be your best option for the sake of balance I've found the Wii version to be fine. Hardly any glitches. Also it isn't missing 'tons of stuff'. It's missing a couple of element gates and a few other bits and pieces. But from all accounts the graphics are miles better so it's probably worth getting the Wii U disc if graphics are important to you.
