Skylander figures compatible with SSA and SG that reach lv16-20 will they still play in SSA and/or SG?

I have a level 20 lightcore Flashwing and she shows up in Giants as level 15. When I bring her back to Swap Force she's back to 20.

Actually I have to add on a loosely related question. With the weird disconnected way the 3DS versions work (where you load characters in and can swap them on the go without the figures), what happens if you play a bunch on the 3DS without the figure, then play the character a bunch on another console? When you scan it in the 3DS portal again do the XP and money and things combine? It's all a bit confusing!

My initial take when I imported my 150+ figure collection into 3DS is that it's a one time import, after which anything done in game stays in the 3DS game.

Can anyone refute what I just said? I didn't see an "export" capability.

you 'export' by reloading the character into the game, it overwrites the data on the figure. As far as your question pyro, I believe it keeps the furthest progressed level (i.e. will keep the 3ds level if the guys is at 18 there and only 16 in console). Not sure on that though

When reimporting a character the 3DS just adds on the amount of experience you've earned on the 3DS since the last time you loaded the character in. That means the toy itself will never go down in experience when importing to 3DS (though the level on 3DS can go down if you've reset the toy since the last load).

Thanks! That makes sense. The 3DS version and its different use of the portal was really confusing to me, but now that I've figured it out I'm enjoying it. Thanks for the clarification here.
