I know this post will probably fade into nothing, however I miss the Sky Goals and collect the gems PvP modes.
I hope they bring them back in the next game. It would also be good if they had more PvP maps and Online PvP.
Thanks for you're time.

I doubt this will happen but since they keep re-releasing the SSA adventure packs I'd like the old levels to work in the next game...at the very least their corresponding arenas. Double jumping would be nice also. How about Heroic challenges (or something similar) that don't make my eyes bleed....that would be swell. Something unique that comes with the toy that will help it and other toys feel unique and remind me of the time spent on it.

Heroics would be good to come back, or something similar to help you boost the toys and if each toy unlocks something in the game, we're more likely to buy em.

You can't compete with all that puginess.
All the pugginess was had that day.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

Stop it Tigorus, just stop it.

Jumping [SELF CENSORED] and ruins a perfectly good game. Don't those [SELF CENSORED] Mario/Donkey Kong games have jumping in them? Can't you play those instead? Does every game have to be like every other game? I know I speak for pretty much nobody else when I say 'I HATE JUMPING'. And you want to add in double jumps????

But I do agree with your other points.

Although I would even be fine with no Heroic Challenges providing I could still really personalise my individual characters. I just want my individual Skylanders to get REAL in game boosts when I put the time and effort into them. Like when they - the particular toy - completes Arena challenges etc, beyond just a number on the stats sheet. I mean something I can really notice. For example something where a level 10 Gill Grunt that's done no arena challenges has almost no chance in a fight against a level 20 Gill Grunt that has done every one of the solo challenges.

lol....no I can't stop it. Jumping is fine in Skylanders. Plus it seems like it's here to stay. I'm not into Mario or Donkey Kong so they are out for me. I will add that double jumping is fairly low on the totem pole for me but figured it might be nice. You know what I would rather have instead of a double jump? CUSTOMIZABLE BUTTON CONFIGURATION!!!!111!!!!!!!!!11111!!!!!!!!2 Seriously Activision why can't we set our own buttons? You guys say your innovative but you can't add a simple feature that's been in video games for like 25 years or so??? Since jump was added a lot of moves don't feel natural anymore. How badly would it break the game to let me set my own buttons??? I don't think I'm asking a whole lot.

Tigorus is right on that one, and I have a question, Kaosmumishot. If Spyro could jump in his game, and skylanders is a spinoff of his , why is it so unnatural for skylanders to jump?

Your point is valid, an equally valid point is 'Most people seem to like it so suck it up'.

But I wouldn't really know I never played the original Spyro games. I'm not really into video games I'm really only into Skylanders. And the only reason I don't like jumping is because I suck at it.

if it's so natural, why they added it only in the last game (screwing all the attack buttons while doing that)?

That's because VV couldn't care enough to give it to a less used button,or give options for us to change where it is. It wouldn't be unnatural for Skylanders to jump if it was well implemented to begin with, but considering it added so little to SF,I'd take Bounce Pad-based gameplay any day.

PVP in general needs to be expanded in the next game, 5 arenas and two modes is way too few and combined with the very few power ups and lack of maps that are really interesting makes SF's PVP the worst in the series by far. Even without comparing it to the last two, it's just bad- there's not enough to it to keep you playing it. Sure, you can battle with all the different Skylanders but seeing the same locales over and over with so few choices and so little variety just feels... Draining.

I haven't tried Rival Survival to be fair, so I don't know if that's any good or makes a decent PVP-esque mode... It still wouldn't fill PVP's more competitive role, though.

Ambushes coming back would be nice but I think random ambushes in random spots would get annoying. Maybe there could be spots in levels where there's a random chance of an ambush happening, so that it's still a bit random and ambush-ey but isn't too annoying.
I'd also like to see Skystones and Lock Picks get little cameos- I don't think they need to come back, fully(in fact I'm kind of glad that they changed them up), but I wish there had been a little place where you could play a couple matches of each in SF.

Maybe an ambush at the hub where most Helpers (Including Flynn) cower, maybe more combat oriented one's could attack enemies dealing minor damage, except the point in the game this happens is randomized.

This isn't the same as what you stated (which I agree with, those modes should be back), but I think for characters who have an upgrade that changes their appearance, weapon appearance, armor/clothing appearance, or shield appearance, their should be an option to use the new appearance and one for using the older appearance. I mean I have heard so many people complain about Rubble Rouser, Rattle Shake, Dune Bug, etc. I personally chose the path that did not have Dune Bug change his armor. I hate that the figure (the idea for the game) no longer matches the character it correlates with in the game. That's kind of lame. I think you should be able to choose which skin you wish to use after the upgrade.

that's a cool idea. some changes are too... big. rattle shake was my girlfriend's favourite skylander, but after the soul gem she finds him very ugly (and i kinda agree, even if i'm very sorry for the poor snake)

Just in the game itself, regardless of whatever new idea they have for the figures, I want something that encourages longevity of the game itself. As it stands right now, I love Swap Force, and can come back again and again to play through the new characters as they come out....but the guys who are level 20, all quests completed, fully maxed out and can no longer use exp or gold; they feel like done deals. I'd love it if they bring in some of the maintenance and upkeep that you get from a Lost Islands sort of game into the full retail. Incentives to spend extra gold, the ability to unlock BOTH paths if you commit to a LONG quest chain or some such, heck, even work and pay for short lived perks like double use of magic items or life potions. I'd say, for the next adventure, at least DOUBLE the levels, and some substantial interactive HUB where playing the previous generations characters or returning to each one had some sort of upkeep benefit, and make sure having a large collection was a nice thing, but not something that would ruin it for those who didn't have that large of a collection.
