Well guys 2013 is almost over so what's your best memory about skylanders from this year?

Getting Series 2 Wrecking Ball!

Nice, i wanted to get him but i never found him in stores:-(

My Target still has one of him. <.< idk my best memory. >.>

I guess this Christmas was pretty nice. Got a few rare figures and just bought a Green Rip Tide for cheap with the use of a gift card.

Day 1 of Swap Force was pretty cool. My best memory is finding Purple Lightning Rod and Purple Wrecking Ball at the same time in a Wal-Mart in September.

Getting all if wave 3 most notably . In fact I'd have to say just getting Swap Force period was the best memory for me I really missed all the fun Skylanders hunting provided and that it's way more satisfying than the terribly dragged out lack of characters from Giants. Also to play in Swap Force and now see that all of his glitches have been fixed and now giving me hope that from now on he will never have those glitches again.

Seeing so much more stock after the headache that was Skylanders hunting in 2012.

Seeing all the old gang in H.D. and hearing them with their actual voices. Thump Back and Wham Shell are pretty epic.

Best 2013 Skylanders memories:
- First legit defeat against my son in PvP
- Finally get Lightcore Hex and complete Giants collection
- Do the last quest and heroic challenge of my Giants roaster to max them all
- ... and decide to move to the editor for next games to never do something so boring again (doing the 5 first skylanders was fun... the issue was the 43 remaining ones)
- Play Swap Force on PS4 and finally see a skylanders game as it should look.
- Try the "circle, triangle, triangle, circle, triangle (long), circle" combo with a maxed Eruptor (Volcanor path) in Swap Force :-)

Finding a load of S1 skylanders at Walmart including 9 wham shells! But I had no money on me

First time I played Swap Force. Played through several levels in one go and lost sleep but it was worth it! I kept thinking...hmm...just one more level...one more level... I loved that the pool had that special "maro-esk" sort of place with gems arranged like gold coins It was interesting to get the Boom! Achievement without even actually trying for it too. Saw the fireworks and thought "burn it!" automatically lol. Helps that I was using Dark Spyro at the time.

The Sparks are soo cute! They remind me of Muppets for some reason. I don't know why exactly, but I love them!

Some other good memories:

-Getting the Dark Version of Swap Force. They all look so cool and knowing I "chose wisely" to look around at the different stores and before buying the starter I wanted made me feel quite satisfied. Indiana Jones reference intended.

-Finally getting the rest of the figs that were out after waiting till I got my paycheck. It was so cool to be able to find them all and get them home to play! My Obsessive Collecting Disorder started going haywire at a certan point and I thought: "I must get the regular versions of the Dark characters I have", ect. I'm trying to be sane about this. I never really try too hard for chase varients, but I get rather ansty to get in-game varients if I can. I have nitro magna charge, but at some point I'll be getting the regular one. And I know I'll want the regulars of wash buckler, blast zone, and stealth elf series 3. I know it's silly, but well...it's something I do. I tried so hard not to do so, and then i went and did it anyway, so....yeah.

-Being able to help some parents find the figs their kids wanted. This is always a good memory! I love helping make a kid's day like that, and making it easier for a parent.

First playing Grilla Drilla and getting blown away. I never thought a character would ever teeter near the fine line between "really good" and "overpowered". Roller Brawl, Fright Rider, and Smolderdash playthroughs were close.

Yeah Swap Force is general was great, my initial impressions of the game were amazing, especially when I started trying some of my favs like Smolderdash, Star Strike, and Roller Brawl. But probably the best was when I got to visit my friend out of town and tear up stuff in the co-op.

Completely upgrading and completing quests to all 99 skylanders in Giants without cheating
Keeping to my plan of reducing Swap Force purchases by 40%
Finally playing Swap Force over Christmas and actually liking many of the changes

The fun I had this summer Skylander hunting. Started playing Giants in July and decided to get the full roster. Ended up traveling to different stores all summer long looking for characters and managed to find many of them without the need of a secondary market. Then to actually find a Darklight Crypt and a Boomer triple on store pegs, as well as winning characters from both recent Frito Lays contests with only a very few tries. Luck was on my side with Skylanders this year... now if only I can transfer that luck to things more meaningful than plastic toys lol

Hope that 2014 is going to be as amazing as this year :3

Ahh...for some reason I forgot that much of the Giants chasing was in 2013....how could I forget that?

Getting Polar was a very good memory, since whirlwind is such a fave with me. Fave element, love birds, love dragons, love whirlwind!

My favorite Skylander2013 memory is of when we got that huge leak from walmart that revealed tons of news including something that sparked a fan.

When we heard of the 4 who we didn't even have pics of.

The no pic 4 we called them, Dune Bug, Smolderdash, Wind up, and Punk Shock
Magic, Tech, Air, and water but which was which?

Many people said that Wind Up may end up as an air and there was many who agreed with me that Wind Up was definitely a tech. I waited patiently every day in hopes of news about Wind Up's element or at least a picture of him. When we got the poster image of Wind Up I loved him even more. (and again when we got gameplay footage)

I was really happy that they made a skylander that seemed to be my destiny to master him for his name is similar to my own username. (An username on a spyro/skylander for crying out loud)
I had faith from the moment I saw his name and I am glad how he turned out. A crazy dude that just destroys enemies quickly

The best part had to be wen I got Pop Thorn on my birthday....

3. Discovering ghostroaster.com (My new favourite Skylanders resource.)
2. Seeing the original SWAP Force presentation (kind of bittersweet since the idea of even more toys made me groan, but I still don't get how nobody before me mentioned this.) and subsequently the excitement of seeing more of it at E3
1. GOOD TIMES with PVP thread. It was so much fun, though it's kind of a mess at the moment, I'm excited to go back and help with sorting eventually but I'm too busy to post any [cohesive] notes there at the moment. I dunno, I just found it really fun. I love how it's really a community effort in that thread, it's amazing. (Bit of a shame that PVP mode in SF was so lacklustre though)

There's many more, but those are my top 3 (besides actually getting to play SWAP Force though I won't count that...)

Getting my Series 2 Ignitor and finally finishing my 'landers team,and having hype for SF once it was said the older figures would STILL work.As you can judge from my posts,the latter didn't last long.

Since day 1, I was such a killer time with SSF. But as of today, I just finished the whole game by getting 100% and now I am at Portal Master Rank 80 after I got Stink Bomb from eBay. He was the only Swap Force Skylander I needed to complete the game. Best Skylanders memory of 2013 ever.

Finding a used Boomer in a store for $6.

My jaw literally dropped when I saw it.

Probably when I got the L-Triple Pack, Ninjini, S2 Lightning Rod, S2 Hex, and S2 Drill Sergeant. That's the most Skylanders I've ever bought together!

My best memory was when me and my 3 other friends had a Skylanders tournament.

We each got 2 characters, and I believe I chose Stealth Elf and Drobot. I won, but not without losing Drobot in the semi-finals.

My best searching memories were 1) Last week when I picked up a NEW VOODOOD IN BOX, and a few cores, 2) When I got the last normal Ninjini in my store, and 3) My first time going to Toys 'R' Us. I got Series 2 Wrecking Ball and the Warnado-Ignitor-Camo triple pack.

Probably just any time we got any info, a leak, a full on blast of information from Acti themselves on SWAP Force, it was so exciting waiting for the game.

I'm thinking that either the stores messed up, or s2 Drobot is rare.
My stores have TRUCKLOADS if LC Drobot though.

NYC Event for Ninjini!!!! Went with wife, brother and 7yr old son. Was cool seeing skylanders walking around (you know what i mean if you went or saw pictures), hoping another event this year!

Going to Skylander day and picking up S2 and then going to Books a Million for Wings of Fire Hidden Kingdom.

Honestly? Finally getting Eyebrawl and Thumpback in early 2013. I remember that I had an awful day prior going to the gamestop and deep down I knew I was gonna strike out. I looked at what they had on the racks and saw Hot head and Crusher (the two other giants that came in the same shipment). Out of desperation I asked the employees if they had them. I remember one of the guys trying to get me to buy hot head (whom I already had), fyi the gamestop I went to wasn't the normal one and the guys who worked there at the time were kinda jerks. Anyway, They ask me for my phone number and out of no where, they pull out Eyebrawl and Thumpback. They told me they were being held for someone but he called 5 hours prior and never picked them up. Tbh, I didn't believe them. When one of the employees rung them up, the other employee had a "What are you doing, are you serious?" look if you understand what I'm getting at. It honestly felt that they hide them away and was planning on selling them online. Besides that i didn't care, I finally had my favorite giant (Thumpback) and another awesome giant. Sorry for the long post, I get a little carried away sometimes

I got into *all of this* in 2013.

I'd say my most memorable moments would be
1) Mom and sister coming down to NC from the DMV and having a ball playing
2) Talking with other parents while in line for SwapForce
3) Finally getting my hands on Ghost Roaster, starting him at lvl 1 on the last stage of SSA, and beating it with just him...so broken
4) My first eBay purchase (Zap & Hot Dog) for Skylanders. So much cheaper...
5) Listening to my Dad and my wife play - with my dad getting my wife killed over and over again because they kept running into the missiles (Troll Defense stage)
6) Finding this site *seriously*. I'm real big on a fighting game site (Shoryuken.com), but I didn't imagine there would be a 'community' for Spyro's also.

When i was shopping with my lil cousin and we saw Thumpback and Eye Brawl and we didnt know that they were out so weve got exited and i bought thumpback and he bought eye brawl and since then we had a favorite giant
