The "It's a %$#@ing Number Sign!" Award
You know what sucks? Trending in social media. It's obnoxious, it's annoying. And all I see are number signs everywhere. Yes, they're number signs. Not hashtags. That should be used to refer to someone filling a small pouch with illicit drugs. So there you have it. People who make things trend on social media are actually distributing small amounts of drugs and should be thrown in prison. Of course darkSpyro, being an OBVIOUS social media site[/scarcasm], also has topics which trend. It's very sad that people feel the need to stoop to such levels to get attention. Which is why this award will recognize their addictions and hopefully tip-off national prosecutors to the illicit drugs they're using.
And the nominees are...
"Is [insert something here] gay?"
Like a disgusting rash on the website's rump, this one flared up out of seemingly nowhere. While it never made a comeback, it generated possibly the most topics of any trend this year. It spanned several days, causing one user to break out in hives, requiring subsequent hospitalization. Bonus points for using "gay" to personify things that are absolutely asexual. But this is the internet, and we specialize in that stuff.
"Unattractive, Annoying, [insert user here] interested in you?"
This one just served an excuse for people to point out the inherent quirks and bizarre personality traits of various users on the site. Look, I already know I'm never going to have another girlfriend. So thanks for rubbing it in my face, darkSpyro. ...My editor, Greg, is telling me I shouldn't talk about my (lack of) romantic life. ...I just hit Greg with a shoe.

Here we see a repeat offender. In spite of constant efforts to send this trend to rehab, it keeps relapsing back into those horrible drugs I mentioned earlier. And it seems like that will never change. Only thing to do is hijack all future shipping topics and make them about processed cheese. That seems like a good idea.
And the reader's choice AND editor's choice Darky goes to...
"Is [insert something here] gay?" By an absolute landslide. If you want a series of topics to illustrate just how stupid trend-making is and how desperate some people are to generate laughs and attention, look no further then this mistake. I hope each and every person who made a topic to contribute to this goes and sits in a corner to think about what you did. But make it quick, because the police are about to show up to arrest your for sale and possession of illicit substances.
